There is some irony that the Anglican Communion and Lutheran Communion [or the Lutheran World Federation] have rather close ties with whoever the pope may be at the time. Split off from these two worldwide Anglican and Lutheran organizations, who ordain women and gays, are some who also seek some sort of reunion with Roman Catholics [Anglo-Catholics/ Augustana-Catholics, etc]…This is a bit confusing. Can you explain?
An ecumenical council that I believe will include Orthodox, Anglicans, Lutherans among other Christian groups at the invitation of the Pope will iron out the differences over infallibility.
