Sharia Law is used in the UK. I know this for fact. It is used as I see it in a similar way as Latin Catholic tribunals. That is, to handle matters concerning marriage.
Lots of other faiths have their own courts to deal with the internal matters of their faiths. The Church of England has its own courts system here in the UK. From what I know it’s used mainly to deal with clergy discipline. The Jewish faith has its own courts system in the UK.
I’ve read on some posts in this thread that in the USA allowing Sharia Law would be against the US Constitution. But, there are Latin Catholic Tribunals in the USA, where’s the difference?
As I said earlier Sharia courts in the UK deal with marriage issues. Allowing Sharia Law does not mean that we would allow the amputation of hands for thieves or having adulterers stoned to death. But as we do with other faiths we can, should, and do allow Muslims to have their own courts to deal with the internal matters of their faith.
