I hope things are better! Even if I do not always post, I have remembered your family in the St. Jude novena I am praying and will continue to do so until his feast day. God bless.

A Prayer to St. Jude for Peace

Through your intercession, St. Jude, please help me to always be open to the calming presence of God. Help me to remember how important my forgiveness toward others can be, for their peace as well as for mine. I will continue to pray for peace between nations. But I also want to contribute to building peace in the corners of the world that I live in, and with the people I meet . . . whether I know them well or not. May God grant my family peace. And may He grant me peace and strength as I continue to work to follow Jesus’ teachings. Thank you, St. Jude, for being a source of deep hope and for bringing my petitions to God.

I knew that he had started using very young, but I didn’t realize just how much that drug and alcohol use had impaired his ability to function. Yes! Things are better. He has gotten more steady hours and we have made a few changes that I think, hope, will help us financially quite a bit.

We are promised the love of Christ and the hope of salvation but we are not promised easy lives! I get down and miserable with it sometimes, as we all do, and I really needed that prayer to re-charge my battery and find some peace and some quiet to concentrate on how to hear Him tell me what our next move would be.

Thanks to all of you and know that it was your prayers that kept me going…you were the vessels of His love! 👍
