Particularly considering the fact that the President , prior to the election, encouraged illegals to vote.
Please give some evidence that Obama ever encouraged illegal alien to vote…

Stein will collect $7 million for the recount, spend only $2 million and pocket $5 million.

The recount in a state like WI isn’t about illegals voting. Trump’s the one who put the two issues together. Matt Walsh is right, I think – Trump’s tweet and his response to the recount effort in general are more about ego.
No it’s not about ego at all, and that’s why your side continually misreads trump. He never said anything about illegals and popular vote until this recount business–this is him punching back: if Jill Stein and Hillary Clinton can demand recount with no evidence whatsoever of fraud tilting Trump’s way, Trump can remind them that their own dirty tricks will catch up to them if they persist.

But never mind how you misread trump. Nobody cares. He’s going to be president and hillary will retire or go to jail. Nothing is going to change that, certainly not Jill Stein, or George Soros.

Just to be clear, this isn’t “my side.” I don’t have a dog in the recount fight. Sadly, though, in your explanation of why this isn’t about Trump’s ego, you’ve instead shown that it is. He won. A recount shouldn’t bother him in the slightest. And yet here he is tweeting about it, connecting it (inexplicably) with illegal voting, casting even greater doubt on the popular vote, and demonstrating why a recount should and must take place. That’s…weird.

The only reason trump won is because he fought back, not letting little things accumulate into big insurmountable problems. Politeness will not win in American politics especially when you are a republican. Without fire in the belly, they’ll all end up where Mitt Romney was. Trump’s way is the winning way.

He won. By definition, he cannot be where Romney was.

I’m not trying to be an alarmist, but there are some who will do whatever they can to stop Trump from taking office. Whatever it takes.

There was a 54 day Rosary Novena prayed by thousands before the election and another starting today. I’d advise everyone with all sincerity and hope for you, whatever side of this you are on, to take part in this novena and ask God to protect your country.

Do you think just because he won the left will stop fighting him all the way? Do you think that Jill Stein and Hillary don’t have any nefarious plans behind this recount effort? The evil in politics is never to be underestimated. Trump does well by fighting back and being cautious. He’s got a long way to go before inauguration and implementing his policies. He’s gonna need to fight a lot.

Unless perhaps it is a long term goal. Trump garnered his first wave of support by questioning Obama’s legitimacy as President. Maybe Stein thinks that her efforts will pay off for her in 2020. 🤷
That makes sense. At least now people know who she is.

This is interesting…

americanthinker.com/blog/2016/11/the_democrats_real_strategy_in_launching_recounts.html
The recounts, if done by hand, which can be demanded, may take longer than the last day for completing the official counts in a state and directing Electoral College voters. If all 3 states miss the deadline, Trump is at 260, Hillary at 232. No one hits 270.
Then this goes to Congress, where the House voting 1 vote per state elects Trump, and Senate selects Pence. This would be first time this happened since 1824, but in that case, John Quincy Adams won in the House, though he had fewer electoral college votes than Andrew Jackson.
If this goes to the US House and Senate, and the result is the same as result from the Electoral College without the recounts, why do it? The answer is to make Trump seem even more illegitimate, that he did not win the popular vote (he lost by over 2.1 million), he did not win the Electoral College (did not reach 270), and was elected by being inserted into the presidency by members of his own party in Congress.
If a state never gets to name electors, the number needed to win goes down; a majority of those named is enough. Even with 260-232, Trump should win unless there wee lots of faithless electors. Now had the Democrats or Green Party also challenged Florida with 29 Electoral College votes, then it could have been 232-231 for Clinton.
