Without defending Moore, you recognize that the charges against Moore are decades old, and apparently not repeated over time. With Weinstein it seems a continuing pattern, over decades. And again, both I presume innocent.

It is suspicious that this comes out right before the election, obviously meant to cause him to lose.
One of the women making the allegations, it has just come out, is a Democrat activist.
I recall some years ago that such allegations were made against U.S. Supreme Court Justice Thomas as he was up for confirmation for his position by the Senate. However, the Senate disbelieved in these allegations and confirmed him to the Supreme Court.
Such allegations could be true, but I would like to see some proof this happened in order to be convinced. Perhaps one of the posters could pass on such proof here if it actually turns up.

One of the women making the allegations, it has just come out, is a Democrat activist.

The woman accusing him of molesting her when she was 14 is a Trump voter. The other women said he dated them when they were 16 or 17. He had an interview today on Sean Hannity’s show where he confirmed dating teenagers though denies molesting the 14-year-old. So whatever Democratic activist you’re referring to was telling the truth.

It was actually telling watching all the condemnations rolling in after the interview aired; Republicans yesterday were pretty much qualifying their responses by saying “if it’s true,” and now that he’s confirmed it they aren’t qualifying their calls for him to step down.

What you have read, for example, is that it is untrue that people voted for Clinton after Juanita Broddderick make an allegation of rape against Bill Clinton.

What was “proven”?

That he had affairs? Yes.
That he harrassed anyone? No.
That he raped anyone? No.
That he had sexual interactions with minors? No.

That is not to say that there is not a history of allegations made here and there.
At some point, however, people need to come be honest with what has been proven and what has not.

I recognize the accuser may very well have come at this time because they don’t want to see a pedophile in the US Senate. And were hesitant to because of exactly what is happening. Women have for too long not been believed.

We don’t have any material evidence. All we have is the word of the victim and those she told at the time. You have to ask yourself what’s more likely: either she’s telling the truth, or she’s been planning to sink Roy Moore’s Senate hopes for forty years.

Have you been living under a rock these past couple of days? Or maybe only tuned into FOX News? Or Steve Bannon or those of his ilk?

For starters anyone who says they would still vote for him in the Alabama election even if the allegations are true. Or who tries to connect him to St Joseph or the crucified Christ. Tonight I even heard someone said the women should be prosecuted.
