Woman Who Identifies as Man Sues Catholic Hospital for Disallowing Uterus Removal at Facility

A woman who self-identifies as a man sought to have her uterus romoved at a Catholic hospital. When they refused because of their Catholic convictions, she had it done at a different hospital. Now she is suing the Catholic hospital. She is suing on the basis of a state law prohibiting business establishments discriminating because of a person’s gender.

“I don’t blame the staff,” she said. “I don’t blame the administrators. I blame the [Roman Catholic] doctrines.
 
Well we knew this sort of thing was coming.

The person got a sex change 1 week after but is still sueing and says the she blames Catholic doctrine.

For the crying out loud… how do these people get scheduled for a survey at the Catholic hospital to begin with!!!

The Catholic hospitals need revolk doctors who keep doing this

She admits herself she is targeting Catholic doctrine, and thus apparently just trying to create trouble. It does not seem to be the principle of discrimination that disturbs her so much as Catholicism. The fact that she sought out a Catholic hospital in the first place tells the story. The surgery was not a matter of life or death, so I believe the hospital has a right to deny her operation based on its religious and moral convictions.
 
Its crazy… there are “transabled” people who choose to be “disabled.” ie they do not feel like their arm is actually theirs and so it should be cut off…

If they went to the hospital, I would hope the majority of doctors would refuse to offer this service… I do not see this as any different from a woman who feels like she is a man requesting to have her uterus removed for no necessary medical reasons…

This is the problem of government favouring a secular culture on the population over other cultures, including religious.

It is a failure of the idea of secularism as a neutral culture and leaves law in a precarious ‘no man’s land’ at present.

This is an important issue that must be sorted out in the coming decades and is a major cause of division in society today.

We can’t wait decades. Legal actions defending religious freedom issues are going on right now.

Of course no Catholic doctor is going to help the dear sick lady mutilate herself permanently.
 
Hysterectomy is rarely medically necessary. Gender dystopia is a mental illness and this surgery should never have been performed.

Hysterectomies are often necessary for the health of the woman.

It’s rare that they’re done for reasons other than the woman’s health

I am surprised the other hospital did it a week later. Don’t they have to perform a thorough psychological evaluation to determine that this is what she really wants?

Ah, yes. And castration is morally alright if its either that or die of cancer, but not because someone mentally deranged thinks they are the opposite sex.
