Try being a woman who is ovulating…it’s pretty darn hard to think of anything else when this is going on…just sayin’.

I tried one of those. It looked really lovely on the rack. It did not look modest on me.

Curvy ladies and straight cut dresses aren’t always a very good combination.

I can definitely attest to that. Right now. Jeez.
It still surprises me that people actually think guys struggle with lust more than women. If anything, we know by now that women are afraid to talk about lust because of misconceptions like that. Which perpetuates this whole myth.

Try being a woman whose sex drive is higher than her husband. LOL. And then tell me men have a larger lust problem. Can’t tell you how many times he’s apologized because he feels he’s ‘disappointing’ me and it’s just like: Nah, dude. I’m an adult. I can control myself.

Oh, right, and women wanting sex is a male fantasy too. Which we, apparently, are just playing into. LOL.

I hate buttonholes, and I recently got a new sewing machine that does buttonholes differently, so now I get to learn again!

This is why I usually stick to quilting…

I just carry a blanket at home and wrap myself up in it. (with clothes on obviously)

For me it’s not my style if I be totally honest.
Appreciate you posting a photo and example though.🙂

I like it 👍.
Not over the moon about the pockets but it’s still a nice dress.

Nice job and you have great patience.
I used to sew but I lack the patience as it causes me stress when the fabric slides off the table etc😫.

Haha, I don’t know. Some people would still look good in a potato sack.
“When you see her, walking from the back,
it looks like two pigs, fighting in a ‘tater sack.
And whence passes each guy she passes, says ‘Eww’’”

Homer and Jethro, “The Gal from Possum Holler”

Anyway, a buck is a serious violation of sola skirtura, as it hides the veil . . .

There a a couple of men who have mentioned that the Bible does not refer to women and lust.
It actually does, for example Ezekiel 23.20:

“There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses”.

“She too lusted after the Assyrians–governors and commanders, warriors in full dress, mounted horsemen, all handsome young men…”

Um…‘interesting stuff’ in the OT.😳

That is an analogy. I actually like reading the less graphic parts since it reminds me of how sin effects me.

I know that it’s an analogy that God used but the fact He chose to use this analogy that way to these people means he knew they would understood that “mindset” and cultural references and there were real life women like that in the Middle East and real life similar situations.

I should clarify,I’m not a feminist and I do believe that men and women are different but also that women can lust too and are visual.
What I think is different between men and women is that I think most women (except with some exceptions) don’t have a tendency to be ok with just “using someone” as an object and even after a “lustful sexual encounter” with a man would rather from then on be in a relationship with him, whereas I think more men then woman are ok with no further relationship and just purely physical “no strings attached” relationship.

At least that’s how I think, other women may disagree with me.

There’s actually been research that suggests men also prefer relationships and an emotional bond with their sexual partners.

I think our society has ‘beaten’ that out of them, so to speak, but the research suggests men prefer real relationships over casual sex.

That backs up what I’ve seen. I know guys who couldn’t stand the pick up culture but it’s so expected of them they felt there was something broken about them for not being into it.

And, as a 7th grade teacher said, do not wear patent leather shoes because they can reflect up.

Honestly, that old idea was definitely alive and well.

Natural differences between women and men are designed in human nature by God. Some of these differences are so obvious (Duh!) that you would think that everyone would agree that men and women are different! Some of the differences are less obvious, but can be observed by those who can look without bias, and conclude without having a “conclusion” already believed - a prejudice that has priority.

Present-day culture is heavily burdened by bias: the belief that “everybody is ‘the same’”. Everyone is equivalent, every’s moral opinions are equivalent, of equal value, and distinctions are made only ‘homophobes’. This general prejudice has the weight of a [secular] religion - political correctness on steroids.

But God designed complementary differences to exist in human nature, differences ordered to allow us each to help another. Some have some gifts, others have others, and thus we need one another. That is beautiful! And good, and true.

People are all different. No one here disputed that. But to say that women have less lust than men is ignorant. And worse than ignorant; it ignores all of the women telling you their own experiences.

What, if any, differences do you see between men, in general, and women, in general?
