Often forgotten in the discussion of motherhood, especially when it get set on a pedestal, is that sex is a must for biological motherhood.

When I was an atheist, I honestly thought that the Virgin Mary was revered because she was able to embody both the vocation of motherhood and consecrated virginity which is something all other women could not do.

I don’t know if you manipulated this into something it wasn’t intentionally. It looks like a straw man to me.

Saying that motherhood often required sex is a strawman? Sorry friend, I don’t think so.

But he didn’t say otherwise, did he? Looks like you are barking up the wrong tree and making false accusations.

You are not listening. You jump to the conclusions already formed and generalized in your mind, it seems.

Yes. Real relationships are best for men and women. The radical feminist, birth control is good, is missing the whole reason for companionship, which, in the end, is what is best for the couple.

Friend, he has said many times he doesn’t think women struggle with lust. It’s pretty clear his thoughts on women wanting sex.

Lust and sex are not interchangeable words. He also didn’t say women didn’t struggle with lust. Its clear that you morphed things.

The loving mutual self-gift - the sexual/conjugal union - of a husband and wife, is a different matter entirely, from the lustful abuse of God’s gift (which is in truth a sacred act). Sex for the mindless and heartless sake of sex, made even “sexier” by unbridled lust, seems to be fine with the culture today, and with many many very lonely men and women. A moment of simulated love, however, does NOT “make love” no matter how much they want it to. And some do want it to, very badly. The human heart was made for love - not for lust.

It’s the media, from movies to TV. The pick-up culture is a bad idea - always was.

Fide. Do you think most one night stands are rape? Or is it possible that many women also seek out lustful encounters?

Have you ever heard of Fifty Shades of Grey or Mills & Boon? Do you think those aren’t lustful?

Is there anything new left to say, that has not been said, on this tired subject?

Seriousquestion; simply put you do not suffer more from lust than when. Nor does fide. It is degrading to everyone to say men are somehow more cursed and to women to ignore our self control.

You’re not struggling harder than others due to your sex. That’s a bad excuse.

Read the post you responded to - it speaks to your question.

As for the two things listed, no I’ve heard of the first but that’s all. I don’t know about them.

I don’t think anyone was trying to make that point. Besides that’s hypocritical of you to say since you don’t know the experiences of men which was what you were trying to tell fide about women. Not to mention that you changed the topic again.

It doesn’t.

Fifty Shades of Grey is a best selling book of smut. It’s erotica. It was made into movies that sold out. It’s not good writing but it’s incredibly popular with women. Mills and Boon are everywhere and are another group of books that specialise in smut. If women aren’t prone to lust as much as men are how do you explain these?

And the real question: do you believe you know more about how women experience lust than women do?

That has been the topic for literally hundreds of posts. I give up on you. This just seems like trolling.
