I don’t think Christians or Jews or Muslims should have to leave their homes, nor be encouraged to, just to make room for someone else.

In an ideal world.

But no one would argue that current situation there is far from ideal.

I cannot see a situation in which any of those groups would live peacefully together.

So separating them is the best idea.

I disagree. Separating them is unjust.

But you trade a greater evil for a lesser evil.

peace at the price of your home.
It is not the cost of peace. Why don’t you prefer that the Jews find some land somewhere, instead of the Palestinians? After all, there are far fewer of them–should be easier to find space.

I dont want to relocate the palestinians at all. Just keep them apart from each other.

I think palestinian christians should be allowed to get out of there though.

Anybody should be ALLOWED to get out if they want to. But nobody should have to get out.

Palestine cannot exist the way it has been split up, criss-crossed with roads and settlements, deprived of natural water sources.

This I agree with.

I dont like what israel has done, but I am no fan of the palestinians or their leadership either.

they have exacerbated their own plight and have been the cause of their own misery.

None the less a single state solution is not the answer.

Its the answer the palestinians want, and with all due respect it is as outrageous as what the zionists want.

Well they would have to get out as refugees, and if a palestinian state is created, muslims would not qualify as refugees anymore.

🙂

I wonder , why Jews who came from Germany don’t want to go back home now ? Hitler is no more there & Christians must welcome Jews as they have a good relationship now.

No more death threats from Catholics anymore ; so German Govt must invite Jews to return home.

Because they have a home–they have been generations out of Germany, so Germany is not their home. Someone once asked a Pakistani friend of mine why she didn’t just move back to Pakistan, and her answer was that she came here, established herself here, has a home here, raised her children here, and has friends here. This is her home now.

Similarly, Jews from Germany or anywhere else left for a very good reason, and may thank God that they were saved from the torment which was suffered by those who couldn’t get away. I know a Jewish woman who was born in Germany but her family left during the Holocaust, and established a home in South America. And then she moved to the United States later on, and her family is here now, in the USA. This is her home now.

You can’t forcibly relocate people, no more than putting toothpaste back in the tube.

**The title of this thread is called “woman & islam” **

If you wish to divert this into another discussion, well then perhaps you can start a new topic to satisfy your question elsewhere…

This section is Non-Catholic discussisions and for the life of me I don’t undertand why you change the topic just like Planten does.
👍

Well, geez… no one read that because they are still going on about Palenstine and other topics and nothing to do with 'women and islam"

I’ve actually stopped participating in quite a bit of these threads on here and just read them and enjoy my 🍿

I agree. Some days I just don’t have the energy to join in the fray. 😃 Can I share? 🍿

(As of late I have especially enjoyed samaan’s posts. He seems to be very knowledgeable and articulate.)

Certainly me dear… all popcorn lovers are welcome. 👍

I’ve been reading all sorts today and… well… I’m lost for comments… 🍿

Would you like some butter on yours, or perhaps after lent?? 😃

I actually only gave up random snacking between meals for lent, so I’ll have to schedule some with my meal. 😃 And definitely with butter! 👍

There were actually a few posts this morning that I had to tie my hands so I wouldn’t be uncharitable. :o

I suppose I should get back on topic: 😉
I do have an actual question regarding women in Islam:

Is it part of sharia law or just a “cultural” thing or just a misperception that women need to ask permission from their husband/father/brother/male relative in order to leave the house?

If Jews just want somewhere to be Jewish, then they ought to have gone somewhere that wasn’t already populated with non-Jews. …
Then if Muslims just want somewhere to be Islamic, they ought to go somewhere that wasn’t already populated with non-Muslims.
