As custodian Kenneth Green made his usual morning rounds Wednesday inside the Far West Side church he maintains, a tiny noise from the corner caught his attention. In the church’s chilly entranceway, sitting next to an electric heater on the wall, was a car seat with a newborn baby stirring inside.

Green said he named the twins Kenneth and Kennetha Hope. By the time they made it out of the ER, though, the hospital staff gave them names to fit the Christmas season – Mary and Joseph.

AWWW. Those babies are adorable . I’m glad the mom dropped them off at a place where she felt they would be safe and someone would find them.

And I want them! I wonder if I could adopt them? :love:

Sorry, I posted that I wanted them first. 😃 😉 I’m not sure that I am ready to go back to the sleep deprivation stage, though.
 
oh I nearly cried! Praise God!!! The mother, bless her heart… must have found herself in dire straights and at least left them to be found quickly instead of throwing them in a dumpster like some others have done. At least with this, many people benefit… the children get to live, and whom ever adopts them gets two beautiful creatures of God. As much as the law will go after her for abandonment because she didn’t leave them in a specific place… she left them on the steps of a church, where she knew loving people would find them quickly. So my heart and prayers go to her too.
 
Church workers speculate whoever left the babies came in through a side door used to drop off Head Start kids. That entrance has a security camera trained on it, but there was no tape in the attached VCR, workers said.
