Sunday morning here now!

How are you guys going ? Having a good Saturday?

I don’t want to get into a lengthy discussion about this either, but one more question : So, basically these “signs” that the end is nearing, are events that have been happening since Jesus’ time and even before then, right?
Just to prove Australia and NZ are still here and it’s Sunday…another post.

Hope stop listening to all that bullshite and get on with life.

God wants joy for us all. It’s one of the fruits of the Holy Spirit. Joyful living in preparedness for the next step in our eternal promise. The promise of salvation Jesus gave us on the Cross.

So, in short the Catholic Church doesn’t believe that the “signs” the end of the world is imminent because the “signs” have been with us since before Jesus and the Church has never taught anything about it?

Only God knows when it will all end. Only God. That’s it. Jesus taught that to us.

The only good thing about the world ending today is that even though it’s Saturday, it still kind of feels like Friday.

On a more serious note: I’m not sure if anyone else has mentioned it (I am not about to scroll through a hundred replies), I read that the person who made the claim recanted it, saying that it wouldn’t happen until later. In other words, he’s no different than anyone else who has made these claims over the past few hundred years.

Uhh, I’m not sure that that’s quite the right translation.

According to Catholic teaching there is only one thing we know about the end of the world. It was what Jesus (in Matthew ch 25) said, “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.”

Thats it. That’s all. Thats the only thing we know.

People who claim knowledge of the end of the world based on Revelations are giving false testimony. Revelations is about the Holy Mass.

I’m the wrong one to debate this one, I don’t believe in natural phenomenon being viewed as signs. Both the eclipse, hurricanes, and the recent earthquakes are all just natural events.

When it’s time for a sign, it will be clear and obvious!

My wife cleaned the rain gutters while I was at work. Hmmmm. Though it’s getting late. I am now wondering if maxing out the credit cards was such a good idea.

Yes, nothing out of the typical human miseries of history has happened! Please Hope, stop overstressing on what you see on the internet…it’s just not worth it! Today was a beautiful early fallday here in the east, I really hope you enjoyed it!

I’m busy that day…can we reschedule to the 5th? :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

The 5th is a Sunday in 2031. Could we maybe push it to Monday morning instead? That is, 6 October 2031?

Lemme know and I’ll put on my Outlook calendar. 🙂

I did, even though it was unseasonably hot here. And tomorrow’s my birthday.

Yes, Hope1960, my response was in response to your question which was in response to my post.

Revelation is the unveiling of the church - the bride of Christ. Don’t be afraid of it. Learn how to read it correctly and these wackados that try to find hidden meaning in everything that happens won’t.bother you.

But Jesus IS returning tomorrow! He will be present in the Eucharist. If you are always prepared to meet him there you have nothing to worry about.
