World did not end on Sept. 23rd

Jesus is ALWAYS here…wherever one or more of you are gathered in my name…as long as we continue to to that, we are saved!

Just because the sun will be passing through Leo and some planets through virgo that this is supposed to represent the virgin Mary with a crown of 12 stars. This is all nonsense.
It is quite possible to believe, as I do, that a special sign such as planetary alignment might appear in the sky referencing a biblical depiction of Mary, without it involving the end of the world. Fr. Heilman had his prayer group pray a Sacred Heart novena inspired by the phenomenon and by Padre Pio whose feast was yesterday. We could all contribute intentions to the novena and it was everything from world peace to healing from an illness, job issues, conversion of relatives etc. No world-ending baloney. I prayed the Novena and added a group of intentions including a peaceful resolution to the crisis in North Korea. I also went to Mass on the 23rd.

I like the idea of stars in the sky lining up to show the Blessed Mother and this is supposedly an unusual configuration taking all signs and planets unto account. And it did bear positive fruit in inspiring folks to pray, assuming they correctly rejected the end of the world nonsense.

The one that guy claims to be his, with all his data, it goes right back to ancient Egypt.

Meade does mention this in discussing his idea also found in the great Pyramid in Gaza.

And it was first Brought up in the late 70’s by another guy in a book he wrote, the 12th planet.

As they say, there is nothing new under the sun.
And it’s also an abuse if the Word of God to use the Books of the Bible in that way.

And isn’t it convenient that guy has now ‘changed’ what he said, especially in the light of recent events.

This lining up occurs on a regular basis. The sun travels through Leo once a year for instance. And while the planets aligning in virgo occur less frequently it does reoccur periodically. I don’t really believe in Astrology. To me the movement of the planets and stars are like clock work, natural predictable movements of nature, not prophetic warnings. Such ‘signs’ would occur whether people deserved judgement or not, just as a clock would strike 12 twice a day, whether anyone sinned or not. To say that everything is written in the stars is to believe in fate.

Yes, one could imagine all kinds of things in the stars just like they can imagine all kinds of things in the clouds. But There is nothing inherent to the man made constellations that makes those particular arrangements of stars fundamental to the nature of those stars, any more than it would be fundamental to the nature of a cloud that it should represent a face or a bird. There is possibly an infinite number of so called constellations that one could imagine by connecting the dots with one’s imagination. There is no divine sanction that a particular group of stars represents the virgin Mary anymore than it should represent a lion or a bull.

There is nothing necessarily wrong with imaging the constellations in the sky. Sailors and various travellers used them for navigation. But, there is no reason to think that they should tell us anything about future prophetic events.

I do not believe in David Meade or Zecharia Sitchin theories however:

The stories did not report what David Meade said in the first place, yes before Sep 23. His theory is that a sign to herald the end of days will occur Sep 23, not a cataclysm.

But about the theory, it was Zecharia Sitchin that wrote the book The 12th planet in 1976 and he said it (The 12th planet) is in the Sumerian mythology.

I was wondering what the theory was that he claimed was his own?

You are free to not believe it’s anything special. The planetary alignment occurring does not happen very often. We are not supposed to use astrology to predict the future, but it is in the Bible that a sign (the exceptionally bright star) marked Jesus’ birth. For those who believe in the Fatima apparitions, Our Lady promised a light in the night to show that God would be punishing the world for its sins, and many have linked this to the unusual aurora borealis seen by many prior to WWII.

So, while it is wrong to try to predict the future and especially spread end of the world foolishness from astrology phenomena, it is certainly possible that God might put a sign in the sky to inspire mankind to think or pray, and that is how I take it. No one is forcing anyone else to believe this and it is perfectly possible to pray without involving stars or planets, but I like to think of things such as the moon or stars as being instruments of God, their creator, and meditate on such devotional things, and it is permissible to do so as long as no divination is involved.

As a general comment, I think once again here is the issue of devotional things that are neither required or forbidden by the Church, but that some find to be fruitful for their spirituality. There is quite a long tradition of saints who noted God’s gifts in the form of sun, moon and stars, which before electricity and even to this day in some places, provided light at night and affected other activities of man such as tides, crops and navigation. St. Francis referenced Brother Sun and Sister Moon, St. Jacinta thought of the Sun as our Lord’‘s lamp and the moon as Our Lady’'s Lamp. These are reminders of God, not anything bad. It’s when someone goes all Nostradamus and starts telling the future that it becomes forbidden.

Putting a sign in the sky is one thing. A regular astronomical event is another.

It’s weird I’ve been hearing about this “sign” for 6 months and we knew about the eclipse since the 60s so how much of a sign can they be?

David Meade has changed his theory now to say

on October 5, Planet X will fully eclipse the sun and cover the earth in shadow.
Now conveniently, Meade claims people have misunderstood his Planet X prophecy.
he’s now claiming we could be in for SEVEN years of nuclear war and natural disasters starting on October 21.
October 2017 may signal “the end of the world as we now know it”.
And then
This will signal the start of the “seven-year-tribulation” on October 21, he believes.
“He claims an asteroid named Wormwood, measuring at least three kilometers in diameters, which is attached to the “debris field of the Planet X star system” will hit earth at some point during the seven years.
The “tribulation” will also involve “nuclear exchanges between the US, Britain and our enemies – Russia, China, Iran and North Korea.””

And yes he is still abusing the Bible with numerology and Luke and with constellations as signals that have appeared at least 4 times before- last one in the 1800s.

But to answer your question again, and I don’t believe it either, the man David Meade has not even established that he attended a specific university and got a degree in anything, and claims he does not call himself a Christian numerologist)

Nibiru or Planet X was written of by Zecharia Sitchin. In the late 20th century. He in turn found these predictions/ prophecies in ancient Sumerian and Egyptian writings. He wrote the 12th Planet, about Planet X in 1976. The concept of that planet and predicted interactions with earth, including aliens, started then.

A couple of Documentaries and movies about the writings and theories from ancient times are Planet X and of course chariots of the …

David Meade is a writer, his hype and revival of all this sells his books.

YES!

Everyone has answered Hope’s question now, completely and solidly

Well, we’re still here. I guess God wasn’t telling us He would end the world on Saturday. What’s this about Planet X and Wormwood?

You can see for yourself from the book he wrote that was published in June 2016 entitled Planet X - The 2017 Arrival, that he believes that Planet X will appear in the sky on September 23, 2017. It will cause, he speculates, Electromagnetic influence and that it will be a danger on Earth.

I was wondering what the theory was that he claimed was his own?
