For example, the cover story in September 27, 2004 Sun Magazine “SIX Beloved Prophets agree END TIMES BEGAN Sept. 16 – at 4:42pm!” (pages 10-11). September 16 was Rosh Hashanah. I don’t know if 4:42pm was Eastern Standard Time, or GMT, Rome or Jerusalem time.

Pleeease skip over page 8 where a doctor is reported to be giving himself a liposuction.

The Sun magazine includes an admonition to pray devoutly to Christ’s Holy Family. An angel of descruction is mentioned along with some “prophetic truths”. But no mention of any beast yet. Looks like this week’s cover story is another hoax. I think sometimes the stories are true. If you believe this week’s article, then pray the rosary and pray to St. Joseph.

I am somewhat confident that when the unveiling of the beast takes place, it will be fully reported in the SUN (published weekly by American Media, Inc – Boca Raton, Florida).

As a former Florida resident, I can confidently affirm that a certain portion of the wildly crazy news you read in these supermarket tabloids is actual news. Crazy things happen all the time in Florida. A lot of unbelievable things have happened near Miami at one time or another.

To me, it looks like the only worthwhile news in this issue of the SUN is pages 24-25. If you are borderline high blood pressure, it is a very good article on how you may be able to lower your cholesterol. A doctor came to my Baptist Church recently to talk with us about cholesterol and high blood pressure. The doctor said many of the same things that are in the article. But if a doctor has prescribed you some medication, please don’t stop taking it without first consulting with your doctor.

Calbreese: What are you going to do differently now that you read your secret article? Maybe you can’t tell us what the article says. But what are you moved to do about the coming end of the world? Do you want to start praying the rosary? Most Catholic Churches have a weekly prayer group. If you go, you to learn to pray the rosary. Are you going to sign up for RCIA? I’m in RCIA this year.

If you think the web is the beast, do you think it is going to sit still while you use the web as a weapon against the beast? maybe you should be shivering in your boots and sprinking holy water on your mouse.

do all those people you cite on your site know you are useing their comments and their names? care to tell us what documents you cut and paste them from? do you really expect us to believe the Knights of Columbus have endorsed this garbage? you sent this to the vatican archives for review? I’ve got news for you, I have been an archivist, and if your lucky they will get around to looking at in 20 years or so.

I took a quick glance at this guys web site and I must say… Does he have any technical knowledge at all? Seems he takes a bunch of things and tries to link them together.

First he says that the World Wide Web is not the Internet. Well I guess technically he could be correct. The World Wide Web is just a part of the Internet, the part that most people see and use.

He then goes on to say, “The web is supported by processing speeds that double about every eighteen months”. This is ture but it is computer processor speeds that are doubleing and the experts see a threshold that will be reached soon. You must keep in touch with the trade to know this.

After saying that he goes on to talk about Hypertext Transfer Protocol and how with the increased speeds that the web will achive conciousness and intelligence and spawn “weblings” only the web is made of Hyptertext Markup Language, which is just a text language. The World Wide Web is nothing but text. It is the web browsers that we use that makes what we see. If you go to the view menu in your browser and select view source you will see the text language that makes up the web.

This is just a bunch of bull and I do not believe that the Vatican or any other person who knows anything has read this or buys into it at all.

It must be a joke.

I am active in pro-life movement in this diocese and one of my responsibilities is to review pro-life resources and reporting, Catholic and non-Catholic, for my community, and I am aware of these allegations which at the moment are urban legend on a global scale and are not documented. What is documented is trafficking in aborted fetuses for body parts and medical research, which is abhorrent and if it is possible heightens the immorality of abortion itself, not to mention the culture of human rights abuse that characterizes modern China. I was responding to one specific allegation that has yet to be documented. Please keep this discussion within the realm of civil discourse and cease flinging aspersions about like popcorn.

Gee, the nuns that taught me used to wear veils and they didn’t seem to have any issue with it, nor did I.

But, then I just sort of accepted it. I’m not sure why I accepted it.

I don’t think I ever really questioned the veil until I saw Whoopee Goldberg in one. If she can wear one, for any reason, then they can’t be all bad, unless somebody is allergic to them.

Some of those orthodox priests wear veils, too. No one has mentioned how influential Osama looks in his veil, too.

IOW, they are neither better nor worse than the rest of us - better equipped for certain purposes, yes; better absolutely, no. (Which is also true of Catholics in relation to non-Catholics.) Besides, all Christians are better equipped for certain purposes than other Christians, regardless of status in the Church.

Which is why arguments implying, “…but you, matey, are a nobody, so stuff you (and your POV)”, are not convincing

These are exciting times. I have a copy in front of me of the ten page argument that the Vatican is reveiwing that may unveil the Beast of Revelation. Several clergy and apologists are quoted supporting it after careful study. Our Bible says, “he will be revealed in his own time.” and “…with a little ingenuity, anyone can determine the mark of the Beast.” After reading this it really seems like a veil has been lifted. No special revelation, just hard work by the Knights of Columbus! The hillarious part will be people trying to comment on it without looking at the argument. Maybe the Vatican will wait until after the election. IHS God bless us all.

First, www is “World Wide Web” from the English language, in the English language letters have no numeric value. Logic and reason dictates that if you want to try to use Hebrew, you first must translate “World Wide Web” to Hebrew.

Second, the reasoning on your website (on the WWW) is a little far fetched.

One theory of 666 which is more reasonable than the one you provide is this way… 3 is the number of God (Holy Trinity)… 7 is the perfect number. 6 is the number of man, falling just short of perfect… 6 6 6 is man trying to make himself God… I see this with all the cloning stuff going on. Also, let’s not forget chapter 17 of Revelations.

Saying “WWW is 666” started with hoaky ‘pick up a bible and have a church’ protestant preachers. The www is no more 666 than books are 666 or television is 666.

I understand you actually believe what you claim… but there are many people who may actually take your view as fact instead of theory. These same people might stay off the Internet because of what you say about the world wide web. These people could benefit greatly from the Internet, as I have. If it wasn’t for the world wide web my knowledge of the Catholic faith would not be as deep as it is.

As far as sin and the world wide web, people would still do the same sins without it. The only difference is that with the world wide web we can actually see how active the sin is in the world.
