This probably isn’t the right place to post this question, but I can’t think a better spot.
I have a crucifix that I’ve owned for many years. It’s a bit worn; in fact, one of the arms of the image of Christ is broken
and the paint is chipping off.
When it finally gets to a point where it is no longer serviceable, what would be the proper way to dispose of it? I can’t bring myself to throw it away or burn it. A friend once suggested chopping up the image of our Lord into unrecognizeable fragments, but I can’t envision doing that, either.
Any thoughts?
Peace,
Dante
