ALSO, I HATE the ones with the babies that they animate their mouths like they are talking like adults. They give the the creeps!
ugh I hate those too!

Also all the birth control abortions…the side effects are mentioned but all the while they’re showing these happy women who are “so glad” they didn’t have the baby… 😦

I find all commercials for “intimate” products annoying, whether feminine hygiene or Viagra but the worst is one for (how to put this?) an aid to female solitary sin that fits on one’s fingertip.
One ad in this category that is sort of cute is for the His & Hers K-Y with a married couple trying for a little romance before the kids get home.

Another that I hate is for an Alzheimer’s medication – the evidence that Grandpa needs medical treatment? – he calls his g’daughter by the wrong name. My father used to call me by all three of my brother’s names before he got it right and I’ve often called my son by my brother’s name. Come on. folks, you’ll have to do better than that before I’ll talk to my doctor about your undoubtedly expensive medicine.

Any other nominees?

OH! Almost forgot – birth control commercials, nova ring (yechh!), patches, &c, &c. Once they finish listing the side effects I figure that if I were a woman I’d just get an aluminum bat to clobber any guy who got too close. Side effects may include fractured ribs and skulls – for him.
I loathe the sex-pill commercials. It’s TMI, big time.

I don’t like commercials that go beyond the product… but imply something like “If you don’t buy this your life will be miserable!!!” in some way.
it’s like they’re trying to manipulate the viewer into buying…
NAW.

Really?!!

😃

But, yes, when the effect isn’t subtle, it’s not working any more. People have to think that they themselves realized (in a :newidea: flash :newidea: of inspiration!) that they couldn’t live without the product - but seeing the ad was just a coincidence, it had nothing to do with the idea popping into their head. 😛

I can’t stand ones that show people dribbling and drooling their food in order to sell you that food. If I associate a food product with a stranger’s loss of food control I am less likely to buy it rather than more.
I hate the BC ads that show young, lithe, sylphoid women dancing along in breeze-catching outfits with la-la-la music going on, suggesting that a birth-controlled life is a light, carefree and innocent one where there is just the cute music. I don’t remember it like that at all. I remember a lot of heaviness and snarling and mornings that I wasn’t ready to greet.
Some still make me shudder, like the old IHOP breakfast for dinner ad. If it’s dinner it’s not breakfast. And vice versa. How hard is it to say “pancakes for dinner”? To call it breakfast for dinner just sounds like an insult to me.

all the commercials advertising birth control, the genital warts medicine, I hate the viagra ones! I even saw one for ENLARGEMENT drug… :barf:  and I hate the commercial for the cervical cancer vaccine because they seem to have forgotten to mention that HPV is transferred through sexual contact 99% of the time.

I really don’t like the ones about the herpy (sp?) drugs.

It always starts off “I have herpy’s”
and the signifigant other saying “and I don’t”

Don’t they love their partner enought to just controll themself.

so annoying.

Here is my current choice for worst commercial -
the new Victoria’s Secret commercial with the background music of *“We Three Kings” *

Since when is Christmas about sexy lingerie?

I really doubt that the three Kings brought Baby Jesus a teddy - and if they did, it would have been of the stuffed variety, not the satin and lace kind.

The only time I have a chance to watch commercials are at other people’s house. I never look at them because they’re all so horrid.

those “Bod” commecials. talking about egolistic and narcissitic. geesh. put some darn clothes on!

My least favorite commercial are those freakin’ Target commercials, the Christmas pageant ones. UGGGGH!

My MOST FAVORITE EVER is the one for Carmax, where the guy gets into the car, and the car says back to him “GET OUT!” I love that one!

Happy Cows come from California. Sorry, I am from Vermont and I am use to local Milk and Cheese.
Ah, I love those. I think they are cute, especially the new ones where they are campaigning to get to California. I never realized they played them in other states. I don’t think it would bother me, I don’t get upset about the Florida Orange Juice Commercials. 😛

I do hate those new Levis commercials, Carl’s Jr commercials, ED (and enhancement) commercials, that commercial with Charlize Theron, Jardin (spelling), the VS commercials. I could go on and on.

They are not really “bad” commercials…

… but for some reason I find the latest Geico commericals with the stacks of money with eyes make me cringe. And I kind of like most Geico commercials. But the money ones are kind of creepy the way “the King” on the Burger King Commercials was creepy.

lol except for those football ones where they replace the player with the king.
