I’d say the worst musical genre I do not like is Techno. To me, it’s pretty much capturing that which is 5 seconds and making the whole track 6 minutes by repeating that.

Also, some of it reminds me of drugs T__T

Adult contemporary insipid love songs…shudder (you know, Lionel Richie, Olivia Newton-John…)

I used to like hard rock a lot. Some bands took it too far for me though - Slipknot, Korn, etc. I don’t like that at all. I’m wayyyy more into alternative these days - there’s some good bands up and coming lately.

And whoever said Grunge was bad…shame on you! 😛 Nirvana is the father of all that is awesome about alternative today.

I really don’t think there is a “worst musical genre” I am a classical music fan but there are even some pieces that set my teeth on edge. Hey even Mozart did some stuff that I really hate. (It often depends on my mood) I frankly think that the more electronics get involved the worse music becomes. I prefer to listen to music and watch dance live than to hear or watch by television or radio. Videos of all genres make me dizzy. By the way Beatle John Lennon is now a classical composer and has done some really good pieces.

I was never a fan of country music until I discovered an artist named Keith Urban. Now that’s one good looking, um, I mean, talented musician. 👍

Peace,
MSGirl ❤️

I don’t like techno either. I like Trance. It’s more melodic and uplifting. I have composed couple of trance songs in the past years. I also like film scoring. Film music and symphonic orchestra are very challenging. All kind of emotions can be expressed in one song.

2shelbys,
Actually the term was coined by a reviewer who used it to describe Led Zeppelin’s sound.
I believe it was actually coined from the song “Born to be Wild” by Steppenwolf which had the lyric, “heavy metal thunder” in it. The meaning of those words had never been used prior to that.

I love Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, all that fun stuff. It’s so raw and full of emotion, so good!! I also like Classic Rock ala Led Zepplin, Alice Cooper, Jimi Hendrix etc. Goth rock such as Souxie and the Banshees, Joy Division, etc. I love classical and opera as well.

I HATE RAP, new countryn (I like old), and new “punk” (it isn’t even punk) and basically bands that only exist because they have pretty faces.

I believe there is music that praises the Lord. Then we have music that is vehemently secular. I believe a lot of today’s music to be sacriligious. The expression, “i do what comes natural to me”, is from Ray Charles. The expression itself, not to come down hard on Ray Charles, is like saying, there is no evil. But then we see the roots relativism like the heresies of Comte, Nietzche, Hagel, and others. You tell me they didn’t have influences on America? You bet they did.

I hate

ALL Gangster Rap
Most of the Techno stuff
Most of the Grunge stuff
