WHAT ARE YOU TALKIN ABOUT? RAPPERS DON’T WRITE THEIR OWN SONGS? WHERE ARE YOU GETTIN THIS STUFF? Eminem writes, produces and plays music. Same goes with a bunch of gospel rappers ex: Paul Wright, Mat Kearny, tobyMac. Do you think rappers just come up with songs without music? Sorry but FYI they write lyrics to beats and music same as rock artists.

The big difference is most rock artists wrote that beat and music themselves.

Ok I got this program to record guitar on my computer but you can also make hip hop and dance beats. And let me get something straight it was a lot harder to make hip hop beats than a techno one. I made a techno one, a basic one or so I thought, until I heard some techno songs and realized it repeats itself. In the beginning they mostly all start out with the same beat and differs when the song progresses. It was then when I realized if I played my song on the radio people would not notice it was made it ten minutes.

Yeah, when you have talent it’s harder to create something that should sound like someone without talent wrote.
 
I can’t believe no one has mentioned the contents of the “Gather” songbook, set to the guitar stylings of Birkenstock Joe and the Aging Hippies. Blech!
 
Not sure if I’ve ever heard “Death Metal,” but my nephew used to play in a “Death Folk” band. But now he’s moved on to other things, like Dylan Thomas. Yes, Dylan Thomas, not even Bob Dylan, is his new thing.
 
Like a lot of people have said here, I realy don’t like rap, because of its messages, and just because it sounds bad. But I also don’t like hippie music. I have never been into the whole “emotions” thing, and so hippie peace and love are kind of boring topics to me. But that is just my opinion.

I sympathize with you I had neighbors like that too. This girl took particular delight in playing these filfy words right after I returned from church on Sunday. She also played it really loud when the Pope was elected. She said that it was in “celebration of the Pope” She really hated Catholics. They are gone now. The police have been asking questions about them. The police carted off a meth lab.

Well here’s is my vote for the worst music. Any music played from a boom box in a moving vehicle so loud that it wakes me up at two in the morning :bigyikes: :bigyikes:
 
all kinds of music has some good stuff, but I still hate rap. I hope my daughter doesn’t grow up to like it.

Isn’t it funny (and pathetic) when someone shows their ignorance and lack of class by implying that an entire group of people is ignorant and lacking in class? I guess you also believe that all Jews are unethical money-hoarders, that all Black people are criminals, and that all Christians are Bible-thumping idiots?

Come on! I love metal! Especially death metal! What I hate though, is gangsta rap. They can’t create their own music, so they steal other’s music. Plus, all they talk about is drugs, sex, and blinging.

Isn’t it funny (and pathetic) when someone shows their ignorance and lack of class by not being able to take a joke?
 
I am not going to say worst genre for any musical type. But I have noticed that the kind of music played in the place where I am shopping makes a lot of difference on how much I spend there. Of course I do not even go into clothing stores playing heavy metal or hard rock simply because I know they will have nothing there for a woman “of a certain age”

Supermarkets are different I find myself hurrying through supermarkets that play country western or hard rock. In those supermarkets I stick to my shopping list, I don’t look for bargins and it I don’t find an item I do without. Now on the other hand I spend a lot of time in supermarkets that play muzak. My personal favorite music is classical though. This is just what I have noticed. Now I am only going to shop in supermarkets that play county western or hard rock I’ll save a lot on money that way:D
