Absolutely right!!!Worst? Has to be death metal and gangsta rap. How could country be worse then those? common.
Also, when you say you don’t like country - you need to classify it, because there are MANY genre’s within country music, just like in rock, jazz, or hip-hop.
Personally, I don’t like real POP country, like Shania Twain, or the cutesy boy Keith Urban. But I love Texas sounds, honky tonk, outlaw country, Angry American country, and western folk. It is the only purely American music. Call me patriotic, or a redneck… I don’t care.
Which means you have to know how to play the original instruments to be able to play the digital versions. Hip-hop and rap artists are no-talent clowns. They don’t play their own instruments, don’t write the songs, etc. They sample other artists work.
Um yeah - if you think it requires no ability - do you want to come demonstrate my Roland XP-80 synthesizer? I don’t particularly like Techno - but being a rather mediocre pianist I can tell you from experience that the keyboard/synth does not make you any better than you already are - if anything its WORSE because some models don’t have weighted keys (which makes it harder - at least for me - but mine doesn’t because otherwise I wouldn’t be able to carry the thing!), and on top of needing to have general musical ability - if you want to use the sequencer or do any of the fancy functions on the synth, you’ve got to figure out the program (And THEN be a good enough musician to play along with yourself without making a mistake to play the second, third, fourth, etc tracks… yeah - can you tell this is the part where I get frustrated and give up half the time?)
Those that enjoy modern Polka age from 1 year old to death. It is happy music and I am not surprised you burst out laughing. It can do that to you. Modern hard driving amplified Polka has no place at Mass, that I agree with.
Come on Dennis, that is just the kind of stereotypical response I referred to earlier. You obviously have not listened to any of the country music of today. I am not even a country guy at all, my favorite is “progressive” rock, but my wife got me into country through guys like Brad Paisley and if you listen to people like him you will find that your comment is just silly and a little predjudiced.
In the context of most of the posts here it does not require any actual ability because it is mostly sampled and sequenced and is not played live by any musician.
I do not think anyone said there was such a genre. Some have written gangsta / hip hop with the “/” denoting two different genres that share an absolute lack of musical ability.
