I have not slept since this time yesterday and I had a meltdown uncontrollable sobbing and crying to God. When I close my eyes I can’t stop my mind and sleep. It’s the worst I’ve had in 20 years. I don’t feel God I’ve cried to him and nothing. If not for my wife I would not be here as it is I’m in a coma. I’m cried out no more to give and I don’t know where to turn.

My wife stayed up with me for an hour but I have to let her sleep becuase she has to work and her mother is having surgery later today. I’m afraid for her having to watch me come undone in front of her. I’m so ashamed! I took Xanax which usually helps and it didn’t. I am under attack. O God I’m afraid to say it but I’m hurt and angry I believe help my unbelief.

I’m going to a doctor later when I can and I thank you all here and it’s a black irony to me that I’ve been praying for people having these same issues because I KNOW what they were going through and now I have the worst crisis I have had in a longer time than I can remember. And I’m hurt so deeply that I pray and cry out to God and it gets worse. Thank you for listening and for your prayers. God be with all of you going through this with me. I don’t think I’m making sense. I don’t feel like a prayer warrior I’m sorry I doubt so much.

God Bless the spouses, families and friends of those who suffer anxiety and depression and all other mental and emotional anguish. My wife is a saint.

May you be richly rewarded by God for praying for, and thinking of, others at a time of such deep distress for yourself. It shows a great heart that you do so.

Prayers for you and all who are suffering mentally and emotionally at this time, especially to St Dymphna, the patroness of those suffering mental or nervous disorders.

Praying for you. Hold on to Jesus. He’s the God of the impossible. Forgive all those you have hurt you, including yourself and God if u have anything against him. Posting some promises of God, keep repeating them. God bless you.

“I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety” (Psalm 4:8).

I lay down and slept;
I woke again, for the Lord sustained me.
—Psalm 3:4-5

Unless the Lord builds the house,
those who build it labor in vain.
Unless the Lord watches over the city,
the watchman stays awake in vain.
It is in vain that you rise up early
and go late to rest,
eating the bread of anxious toil;
for he gives to his beloved sleep.
—Psalm 127:1-2

Do not enter the path of the wicked,
and do not walk in the way of the evil.
Avoid it; do not go on it;
turn away from it and pass on.
For they cannot sleep unless they have done wrong;
they are robbed of sleep unless they have made someone stumble.
—Proverbs 4:14-16

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. Psalm 91:1-2

Fear thou not, for I am with thee. Be not dismayed for I am thy God. I will strengthen thee. Yea, I will help thee. Yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness. Isaiah 41:10

For I the Lord God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, FEAR NOT, I will help thee. Isaiah 41:13

As for God, His way is perfect: the word of the LORD is proved: He is a shield to all those who trust in Him. For who is God, save the LORD? Or who is a ROCK, save our God? The LORD liveth; and blessed be my ROCK; and let the God of my salvation be exalted. Psalm 18:30-31, 46

I will love Thee, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my ROCK, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. Psalm 18:1-2

These things have I spoken unto you, that in Me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33

Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Thee; because he trusteth in Thee. Isaiah 26:3

Thank you thank you so much for your prayers and kindness and thoughts and advice. It’s good to have someone else reaffirm and remind me of the Psalms and to pray for me. Isn’t it odd that I’ve used their comfort in the past but I forgot to do it last night.

Thank you Lily and under his wing.

My husband went through a complete emotional and mental breakdown around 17 years ago. My prayers for you and your wife

I just told another and I believe it is true at present for you, you are beside Jesus the Suffering Servant of souls.
Loving God I implore You to give our brother comfort and peace…and in his sufferings, and his wife’s, united with Yours, may many souls be saved.

Below Isaiah 53, verses 2-12

He was spurned and avoided by men, a man of suffering, accustomed to infirmity, One of those from whom men hide their faces, spurned, and we held him in no esteem.
Yet it was our infirmities that he bore, our sufferings that he endured, While we thought of him as stricken, as one smitten by God and afflicted.
But he was pierced for our offenses, crushed for our sins, Upon him was the chastisement that makes us whole, by his stripes we were healed.

We had all gone astray like sheep, each following his own way; But the LORD laid upon him the guilt of us all.
Though he was harshly treated, he submitted and opened not his mouth; Like a lamb led to the slaughter or a sheep before the shearers, he was silent and opened not his mouth.
Oppressed and condemned, he was taken away, and who would have thought any more of his destiny? When he was cut off from the land of the living, and smitten for the sin of his people, A grave was assigned him among the wicked and a burial place with evildoers, Though he had done no wrong nor spoken any falsehood.
(But the LORD was pleased to crush him in infirmity.) If he gives his life as an offering for sin, he shall see his descendants in a long life, and the will of the LORD shall be accomplished through him.

Because of his affliction he shall see the light in fullness of days; Through his suffering, my servant shall justify many, and their guilt he shall bear.
Therefore I will give him his portion among the great, and he shall divide the spoils with the mighty, Because he surrendered himself to death and was counted among the wicked; And he shall take away the sins of many, and win pardon for their offenses."

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of our death.
Amen.

Thank you for sharing Trishie. Last night I had one of the worst “episodes” in years, but Thanks be to God my wife and I have learned together how to stop the train from flying off the tracks. I’m on a stable place now and doing okay.

I went to a mental treatment facility about 10 years ago during a terrible week-long stretch of darkness and terror to check in. Praise Jesus the intake worker who interviewed me said “You really don’t belong here” and gave me some names of outpatient services. His comment broke through my depression and saved me from who knows where I might have ended up.

Thank you for the perspective and reminders of Our Lord’s suffering for us and with us. When you’re in that dark pit, it’s hard to see any light. Thanks be to God for His Mercies and the people who answer His Call to minister.

Thank you tb for your prayers. I’m going to doctor in a few minutes. God bless all!

Praise God for His mercies and thanks everyone for praying for my wife and I. As much as I needed healing, she needed Grace to stand with me. I’m feeling much better than when I posted the thread. I pray that whatever I need to learn, need to know, and need to do in my life that I’ve gained that Wisdom.

Ironic (?) how since I’ve become more active in my prayer life and in living more for God the past few months, the worse my daily life became. No wonder so many people who are reaching for Life in Christ are attacked by the enemy and can fall away under the blitz. This living for Christ business isn’t for wimps is it? :bigyikes:

I’m grateful for your support TB, Trishie, kelly, Lilly, Rocket and wing.

L’chaim!

Hey azchurch,
Hope you’re feeling better, and you have a little more breathing room.

Yes it’s true, the closer you get to God, the more satan wants you. It’s no big deal for satan to take a “bad” person to hell with him, but to pull a pius person who has recieved the sacraments into hell, now that’s is a little bigger trophy. And no, I am NOT saying some people are better than others, I’m just looking at this as a war, and some people would be more valuable than others in that war. What a trophy that would have been for satan if Jesus HAD bowed down to him in the desert. Knowing that we are always in a war over our souls, we need to keep vigilant for all the tacks satan throws out on our path on our journey to Heaven.

satan NEVER plays fair, he always lies, he always decieves, he always pretends, he will go after you when you are tired,or sick,or hurting, when you are at your weakest. That’s who he is, that’s what he does. Know this, and know he is your enemy. When your enemy is near, go to safety. When things are at their worst, THAT’S when you need to cling to God the most. And satan will make it seem as if God has abandoned you, that’s what he did to Jesus on the cross. But Jesus knew to keep on trusting His Father, God IS there with you. Your faith has to tell your brain, that God IS there.

Think of the hard lives most of the saints had. If we all arrived to stand in front of God never having had to prove our love, the whole thing wouldn’t mean anything.
But if we really had to crawl though hell, to get to God, and we did it, look at the sacrifice we could then give Him. Look at what Jesus had to go through, and He never did anything wrong. Who are we to think we should never have trials in our lives. We will all have trials (look at Job!), but you just hafta hang on. God’s worth it, and Heaven is where you were ment to go.

Hang in there azchurch, you have a lot of people who care, and are praying for you here. We need to pick each other up when one of us falls. When I hit a rough patch, others will pick me up. Peace to you and your family.

My prayers for you:crossrc: I have been in the dark pit before and know how hard it is. Though it may seem you are being held onto the Lord by a thread- oh how strong that thread is! Our faith seems so small, the size of a mustard seed, but His provision is Great! Yes, the evil one sends his lies (think of the temptations of Jesus when He was weak) But good always overcomes evil. Fortunately joy comes in the morning. Hold tight to Your Lord. Rest your weary head on His shoulder and He will hold you.

Blessings in Him,

Hi AZ,

I will surely pray for you. I am bipolar and have taken 3 meds for bipolar management.
If you are taking such meds, sometimes they need tweaking to still do their intended
job. If this is your situation, please see your psychologist, and don’t let him run
over you roughshod. Some psychologists have a bias that counterproductive.
