I knew I’d think of another!
I don’t know who sings it, but it has to be the worst “slam” song against a woman and I have no idea what possessed the bride to allow this song to be played as the couple’s first dance. It’s the song, “Being With You” which talks about how the guy’s friends don’t like his girl and he says:
I don’t care if they start to avoid me
I don’t care what they do
I don’t care about anything else but
Being with you, being with you
Then the last verse says:
People can change, they always do
Haven’t they noticed the changes in you?
Or can it be that like love I am blind…
I mean, isn’t THAT romantic? :dts: Your husband’s friends hate you and now even HE’S wondering if maybe they aren’t seeing something he can’t see? I think this has to be one of the worst “love” songs ever written!
And yes, please, PLEASE, let’s ban “The Chicken Dance” from weddings! Along with “The Hokey Pokey”, “The Macarena” and “Mambo No. 5”!
