I love that song… makes me cry everytime I hear itPaul Stukey’s wedding song, mandatory in the 70s
That one has unsavory memories for me, as I had to suffer through it at a karaoke party once. A group of 40-something women who thought they could sing (cough) went on and on with that song, getting louder and louder, and screechier and screechier. It showed no signs of ending, and was starting to actually hurt my ears, to the point where I got up and left.As for popularity around here,it wouldn’t be a wedding reception without Bob Seger’s “Old Time Rock N Roll”. Yes,played to death,but it’s tradition![]()
