Would believers be happy if aliens landed on Earth?

Because they’re All Knowing, they would do well to avoid this planet. Earth is infested with Demons and the alien astronauts may not have resistance to their demonic influence! That would make a good movie
Earth doesn’t have to be infested by demons to make it a good place to stay away from. The human population is bad enough.

Agreed. The Caddibbian Imperial Navy was tasked with maintaining the blockade since about 15,000 BCE.

The odd UFO that has been spotted are cases of overzealous anthropologists who sneaked through the barricade attempting to document a live example of a “fallen race”.

From my point of view there are two choices for interstellar travel, 1 aliens do exist, and aliens have the power to go really fast (maybe even light speed ), 2 aliens don’t exist, and UFO’s are just military flying vehicles that can go really fast (maybe even light speed). Either way someone out there has the power to go very fast and maybe even light speed.

If they did come to Earth, I’d assume they’d subjugate us.
Yup. We can’t even peacefully exist within our own species. If an alien force came, they’d have no reason to view us as equals.

I believe we’re seeing many advanced government craft. They’re likely using theoretical propulsion systems and cloaking technology. Also, what if you used warp drive while on Earth?

Let us not be glum astronauts! The Anthem of the Federation is quite positive 😃

Makes me think of Battle Los Angeles. US Marines vs extraterrestrial beings, not a deep movie, full of the usual military clichés, but still fun to watch.

I will believe when I physically see them. Until then, I could not care less.

If they landed, I would not assume that they may not be coming out of altruistic reasons, or to just say, “Hello”. It would also be very possible that they could bring alien bacteria that could kill us, or that our bacteria could kill them. All in all it would probably not work out well.

But if they did, and it was a peaceful encounter with no passing of deadly germs from one to the other, then it would be a good opportunity to evangelise them and teach them about Christ. Perhaps we could send missionaries back with them?

But realistically, if there is other intelligent life in our vast universe, and presuming that somewhere there is a species considerably more technologically advanced than us, then haven’t they showed up before now?

The Catholics you know and ones I know sound like they come from different planets. 😮 I am mildly curious, this being your view of the Church, why you choose to count yourself among them. (assuming you do)

I took a few bullets in the liver getting this. No need to say thanks.

This alien is a heretic. Me and a few guards…lets just say he has a few bruises that wasn’t there before.

I definitely like the Asgarde.

It really depends on the sort of aliens that come. What if they are nasty and mean? What if they talk too much? What if they are nosey and self-righteous?

It would be best if we at least conduct some interviews first.

I would hope they bring a better quality of snack foods with them. I’d like an advanced Cheeto that’s really good for me.

How about a chicken kebab, with garlic source drissiled over the top, and absolutely no calories

Old news…the Caddies rotated out back in '76 (1776). It’s the worm guys now…

Well that’s pretty severe reaction for some aliens just wanting to make a pilgrimage to Our Lady of Lourdes…

Aliens aren’t necessarily contradicting to the Faith.
They would either be descended of Adam, unfallen, or fallen and presumably not redeemed for whatever reason.

I for one would be very interested in aliens’ religious beliefs. Of course, just because they are advanced aliens doesn’t mean that they’d be particularly wise in the area of religion, but still it would be interesting.
