Just think of it analogously as trespass.
So obviously trespassing is wrong in general.
Whilst trespassing a criminals home might be laudable, it’s still wrong as you should let the police do that.
But it’s ok if you are cooperating with legal authorities to do this.
It’s obviously ok to trespass your child’s room.
And trespassing to a secured area of a building to prove how unsecure it is…again whilst good intentions it is still wrong.
I think I’ve addressed all the analogous situations mentioned in the entire thread so far.
