Would hacking be morally wrong?

That article is when u are on their property…I am referring to when you are on public domain…it’s not illegal. If you don’t want people to see in your house when they drive by…close ur blinds.

Using a public or shared computer is a better example to a public sidewalk. Hacking is breaking in, not brief glance while walking by.
 
There’s such a thing as Ethical Hacking. My old community college had a class on it. And the cybersecurity program at a nearby college I’m considering has it as well.
 
The other one is if someone intentionally hires a person to try to get past your locked door, that’s not illegal.

Hacking generally means breaking/taking something apart. To get into something. Someone can be said to hack into a safe. The general meaning of the term. The amateur applies this to about every/anything he/she does. Even so, this applies in science, and in about every study/discovery in science/medicine. Consider the work of the Wright brothers. To break something apart, and to get access inside. That’s a common application.

But, what criminals have done is used the curiosity, study, and reason for something quite apart from the ordinary/natural good. Rather they simply violate the Ten Commandments: Thou shall not covet.

Hacking, like with a hack saw. Is a hack saw, therefore, wrong because that is what it was made and intended for? No. No more than a knife was made for cutting cheese or butter. So for hacking, it is an application that people use to get access inside something they cannot. Even that goes for the first cracking/breaking of a Coconut, to extract its’ juices and flavor. And hence the invention of Cocktails! Happy and Joyous Lent!

Looking through someone’s blinds is a nonsense analogy.
It is a crime to hack someone’s computer without permission of the owner or legal authority with a warrant.

Spam, DNS server and Denial of Service attacks are illegal I think.

Although, if u asked people to kindly email someone to stop abortion…that probably is some form of peaceful protest.

I don’t think so. That’s a bit of wishful thinking.
How does one “secure” a public wall on a sidewalk? One doesn’t, but one may protect it from graffiti (eg run patrols) without that wall thereby becoming private.

So its more like a house with an unlocked door.

You are playing on the ambiguity of the meaning of “insecure” to blurr the distinction between public and private.

An “unsecured private network” is NOT the same as a “public network”.
Nor does a “protected public network” become a “private network”.

The comment relates to your complete lack of knowledge and understanding that hacking someone’s computer without the owner’s permission or legal authority is a crime.
I think my 5 year old grandson would know it is a crime.
 
Do you keep up with computer science or the news? Google went to court over such matters and won. God is kind; insults are not from God. May God have mercy and guide you in his kindness.
