Replacing sinning with ‘wronging’ I’ve wronged people in my life, and made up for it.
I am far from perfect, nor do I think perfection exists.
I’ve done plenty wrong in my life, mostly through ignorance which Ive rectified where I could.
I’ve asked to be forgiven plenty times.
I try and better myself every single day.
I can not speak for atheists, or atheism, but I suspect I would be right in saying a lot of people feel like me.

Only God can truly forgive sins. That’s why the example of the child molester bothered you so much. You think he could never be forgiven of that sin. Once a person truly repents, and is forgiven of a grave sin, they no longer want to sin against God again. It’s the knowledge and grace of God that makes them whole again and able to go on. Otherwise they would be mired in their sins.
