Ion you have lost me… Are you referring to this question:But you did not answer the question, how could they know she was dead?
“And how do you know that her Body was lifeless??? The Church NEVER stated she died!!!”
I believe I did answer this question.
We know from the unbroken tradition/belief of the Church as regularly announced by Popes over the last 1900 years or so as JPII states:
“Some … maintain that the Blessed Virgin did not die… However, this opinion was unknown until the 17th century, whereas a common tradition actually exists which sees Mary’s death as her entry into heavenly glory.”
Obviously it was handed down by Apostles/disciples present at her death - but it didn’t make it into the Bible. Thats fine, we are Catholics not Protestants.
No I am not saying this. It is the unbroken tradition of the Church as reguarly repeated by the Popes over the last 1900 years that says this. You say her dead body was not corrupted…the dead body is rather a supposition
I don’t understand why you say Mary’s dead body is a supposition.
I suggest Mary’s death is more of a “fact” than either her Incorruption or her Assumption.
The latter two Doctrines would actually be “suppositions” because their truth rests on Faith as it seems these realities were never recognised by the senses.
That is, the Assumption was inferred by the miraculous disappearance of Mary’s body and her Incorruption inferred from this plus Christ’s own example (plus the fact that Mary’s body wasn’t around long enough to sensibly confirm incorruption).
