You might want to double check on that. The transcript will typically list all transferred classes and their grades, but I’ve never heard of those grades being used to calculate a GPA.Must be something specific to a college or a state. I know when I ask for a transcript from my 4 year college they list all the classes that were transfered (college classes I took in highschool) and the grade I received and they are used to calculate my overall GPA.
To do so would be pretty unfair to the people who took all of their classes at the university level. If I got an A in Calc at the university and someone else got it at community college, their GPA should not reflect it the way mine should. That would screw up class rankings pretty badly, and would probably cause quite a backlash.
