Would you still be Christian (live as you do, follow Jesus, avoid sin) if you found out that you did not need to be Christian (Catholic or Protestant) to “be saved” from the fires of hell?
Would want to meet Jesus face to face, i do wish i could have been with Him when He was here, but i was born too late. Still knowing Him makes me want to see Him too in the flesh so to say.
Such a man with such sacrifice for someone like me, even if everyone else was saved and i was so bad as not to be i know He would have died for me, He really wants everybody to be saved and it grieves Him to see they don’t.
Oh well a totally theoretical question, still interesting.
God bless you

Hmmmm:hmmm: …Well, yeah, I would…because I don’t think I could ever stop loving Jesus Christ long enough to be anything else!
I have to admit:o I probably wouldn’t :nope: be a very good one, though…:nope: , which is really embarassing & humbling…

I would believe in Christ and I would still study it a lot like I do now. Because I find it very interesting, even if I wasn’t Christian I would study it a lot. But if it wasn’t necessary for salvation, I would do whatever I wanted and would not follow the moral prescriptions (well I would about stuff like not murdering people and all). I would still believe though…that Jesus was the messiah and that all he said was true, and that the Catholic Church is the one true Church etc. But I would def just live my life however I wanted.

Absolutely without a doubt…YES, I would still be Roman Catholic, no matter what.

Hypothetical questions :ehh: . I would have to say that I would still seek Christ thorugh the Church. Even so, the Church teaches that all who are saved pass through Her in some fashion or other. The Church would still be a universal sacramental for God’s Grace. Thanks and God Bless.

I don’t know what people have against hypothetical questions. They’re fun.

My answer is no. If I don’t need to be saved, then Christianity is not true, and if Christianity is not true, then I’m not going to be a Christian.

I did not choose to become a Christian in order to avoid hell. Rather, I am saved from hell as a consequence of being a Christian. If (under the hypothetical), I were saved anyway, that would not change my starting point. I still would be a Christian. It is just that the consequence would be different.

the problem with this is that 1) to say you don’t need to be a Christian to be saved from hell is just plain false; and 2) the most important thing in Christianity is not hell, but God. being saved from hell is secondary; God is what truly matters.

Its almost an irelavent question, since salvation only comes therough Jesus Christ. Sooooo…you would have to be Christian to saved.

As far as Christian-vs-Catholic…same thing .👍
