Year 2020: Priests suggesting they will be martyred within the next 20 years-should we expect it as well?

Luke 21: 16 - 18

16 And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death.

17 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.

18 But there shall not an hair of your head perish.

Note the subtle discrepancy in these passages between being put to death and not an hair of your head shall perish

This is because God controls time and our experiences. In His mercy, he can time-compress the experience of “being put to death” to seconds, or even milliseconds. A martyr for the faith blinks his eyes and finds himself in Heaven. Death of his worldly body happens, but he does not know it.

John 10: 28 - 30

27 My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand.

Hopefully the radical leftists who are mostly in their teens or early 20s will grow out of the “activist” mindset.

An excellent source for understanding the emerging place of Africa in the Church universal, is Robert Cardinal Sarah, especially (I think) his first book, God or Nothing (2015). Also, excellent, is The Day Is Now Far Spent (2019). His strong Catholic faith, and his clear mind, illustrate the beauty of a man unstained, uncorrupted by the neo-pagan West - and the beauty (and NEED) of other such persons uncorrupted by the (literal) insanity of modern Western culture.

Your post reminds me of the tongue-in-cheek “proverb”, “If you’re not a liberal when you are young, you have no heart; if you’re not a conservative when you are old, you have no head.”

I have been hearing this sort of thing all my life. Sufficient to the day…

The moral problem we face with our enemies is always the same…their worldliness and spiritual blindness.

If your heart is set on this present, four dimensional, world you cannot love God.

1 John 2: 15 - 29

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

17 And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.

18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

20 But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things.

21 I have not written unto you because ye know not the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.

23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.

24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.

26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.

27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.

All of the agendas that seek to create a heavenly utopia on earth are false and worldly. This includes extreme environmentalism, socialism, Naziism, Communism, One World Government, Global peace movements, etc. “Activism” originates in the false belief that utopia can be achieved on earth, and the notion seduces overly-optimistic youth…

Our youth need indoctrination in the understanding of a fallen world condition, Jesus Christ, and the Bible. That is our only hope, because it is TRUE.

The Apocalypse does clearly states it all going to end pretty horrifically no getting around that. God has to actually step in to prevent the worst of it with darkness. I can’t even imagine.

While it’s true there may not be physical persecution. People are abandoning the faith in record numbers and many evil ideologies are accepted.

So the sky may not be falling . We just don’t know what a blue sky is

Two things must precede the return of Jesus Christ:

1.) The Great Apostasy …the mass abandonment of the faith.

2.) The appearance of the “man of sin,” Antichrist.

The Catholic End-Time Scenario
  1. The Ascension of Jesus and the “Last Days”
  2. The Conversion of All Israel
  3. The Final Tribulation and the Antichrist
  4. The Second Coming of Christ
  5. The Resurrection of the Dead
  6. The Last Judgment
  7. The New Creation
