Because the topic of this thread is what capacity a fetus has for sentience at 20 weeks not what they might have in 30 years.

I agree–and the fact is, every unborn baby at 20 weeks will grow to birth if allowed to do so, just as you were, and all other people have been allowed. That alone (placing religion aside) should be enough for all clear thinking people. IMO.

Let’s not put Christianity aside - let’s put it before all else! We don’t have to make it easy for someone who chooses to stay in the dark. They are showing others that they are unhappy about “not being like God”. They do not want to be subject to God so its necessary for their comfort to deny He formed them in the womb. If they don’t remember that time of their life, they think it didn’t happen. Convenient to deny a beautiful baby protection from harm, murder, being chopped up and sold for spare parts - can’t feel pain, doesn’t matter. The “chosen dark stayers” proclaim they are more wise than those who know God - they don’t understand how one can know God, therefore the others are ignorant.

It must be grueling to maintain such self praise and denial of God.

I am sure you understand that I am pointing out that being prolife can be argued for WITHOUT relying on religion. Since we all have life, and since we all started the same, the common points in that regard are at exactly 100% across all humanity. That means if someone argues that an unborn baby does not hold value enough to be afforded legal protection, then they are also saying that before they were born they held no value worthy of legal protection, which means every person today is alive as a mere accident of our parents not aborting their valueless unborn baby. How many pro-choice people will say that before they were born, they held no value?

Still waiting to hear about why it shouldn’t be legal to kill sleeping persons or coma patients by that measure…
