A reminder of Conduct Rule #2:
Do not use abbreviated terms such as “Prots” or “radtrad” etc. that may be offensive to the group to which they refer. Full names are best.

Feminazi
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Feminazi is an invective neologism used predominantly in United States political rhetoric to characterize women whose ideas are believed to be vehemently misandrous; i.e.- having an irrational and extreme hatred of men. The word is a portmanteau derived from feminist and Nazi.
The term was popularized by prominent broadcaster Rush Limbaugh, who credited his friend Tom Hazlett, a professor of economics at the University of California, Davis, with coining the term.
The term feminazi has various connotations. To some pro-life conservatives, its use implies feminist advocacy for abortion rights encourages a holocaust. Others use the word rhetorically to suggest feminist views are being expressed in a unilateral manner.
In the extreme formulation, feminazis are seen by some as women who persecute men or who desire their elimination from the public discourse and any involvement into public affairs. The term is often used as a derogatory term for feminist.
Some women attempt to reclaim feminazi by redefining it in their own terms to subvert the patriarchal connotations of the label. However, most feminists disclaim the nazi epithet as charged with negative connotation.
Didn’t mean to offend in the original post quoted above. The word has become apart of the American vocabulary and I didn’t realize that using it would. But I do have to disagree about one thing, I think the massacre of millions of babies due to abortion is a bad thing in scale with the holocaust. You are free to disagree, but that is my opinion.

Recently, I have read a number of articles on the Internet and threads that reference women who consider themselves catholics and feminists.

In my mind feminism is an ‘ISM’ and simply put you can’t subscribe to it if you are a catholic. You will love one and hate the other.

Women who can’t accept the role of men as priests (fathers of the faith) can’t accept in their hearts that Jesus was a man.

The more I encounter women who don’t accept the churches teachings the more I think that it is all a test for them. A test that most of them are failing. When they fight the opposite sex and thurst for power they fail God and mock their roles as mothers.

God is great in his wisdom.
I totally agree. Radical feminism and Catholicism are at odds with each other. Why would any woman want to be a priest? If Jesus had wished for women to become priests, He would have had His Holy Mother and the Holy Women of Jerusalem at the Last Supper.

I think we all agree with this statement. However, the focus of this thread has not been Radical Feminism, just true Feminism. True Feminism teaches that men and women are politically, economically, and socially equal. This basic belief is in line with Catholicism. Do you agree?

Basically, yes, if feminism is just that. It seldom stops there, though. Look at all the women who are getting falsely ordained as priests. That is not in line with Catholic teaching.

That’s also not in line with true feminism. 😉

Exactly why I mentioned radical feminism… Perhaps the tiltle of the thread should be “You can’t be both a Catholic and a RADICAL Feminist”

Well put! I think that would settle much of the disagreement. :yup:
