Alcohol is moral and legal.
Marijuana is immoral and illegal. Enough said.

When do you think the Federal Government is going to make it legal?Sure, but have you arguments for once MJ becomes legal?

Maybe in 10-15 years, once a majority of the states allow it.When do you think the Federal Government is going to make it legal?
Any purposeful intoxication you say…? You must not be a coffee drinker then since caffeine has alkaloids. Caffeine (like cannibas) is a stimulant drug found in the leaves and seeds of plants.I choose to avoid alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis because they are all intoxicants. The Examination of Conscience paperwork I filled out before my first confession mentioned the need to confess any illegal drug use as well as any purposeful intoxication.
“Alkaloids” are not an important part of alcoholic beverages.Cannibas is actually much more comparable to coffee than it is alcohol because there isn’t really a ‘refining’ process involved in either cannibas or coffee. It’s just pure plant -all beans, leaves and flowers. Alcohol and cocaine on the other hand, are similar in that they require a refining process to extract the alkaloids unnaturally (unnaturally referring to not being found that way in nature).
That is commendable.I choose to avoid alcohol, tobacco, and cannabis because they are all intoxicants. The Examination of Conscience paperwork I filled out before my first confession mentioned the need to confess any illegal drug use as well as any purposeful intoxication.
Yes, we should use temperance in using our bodies to serve the Lord. Depending on our age and abilities, of course, and how the Holy Spirit and our spiritual director guides us.Also, for the sake of argument, if we Catholics are forbidden from harming our bodies (temples), then ‘reason’ must be applied in that even physical work can be dangerous and harmful. Reason always applies because what matters is ‘why’ one sacrifices ones body. Is it done for a greater good or is it selfish…?
This is what we should be asking ourselves in everything we do. Much easier said than done though.
But that is were people do things because society says, Ah its ok. But it is not ok, even if the law says its okI live in Colorado. It is no longer a crime. I do agree that no Christian should break civil law and that is a sin, but civil law says its legal now.![]()
Ditto. See abortion for further reference on the complete fallibility of the law as arbiter of morality. But that is were people do things because society says, Ah its ok. But it is not ok, even if the law says its ok
That’s exactly what I was thinking. Also with the way society thinks of marriage. They see it as a game and that same sex can. That’s society position, even the law but it’s not right.Ditto. See abortion for further reference on the complete fallibility of the law as arbiter of morality.
I haven’t, but only because I would only consider using pot 3 days after the sun freezes.Hasn’t anyone asked their priest about this?
gee buck I made over 100 grand on my farm last yr what did you do accomplish.I have seen the brains during autopsies of teenagers who only used MJ. Those brains had huge dead black spots caused by MJ. I can’t understand why anyone would defend its use. On top of that stoners are the laziest most useless people on earth.
