In our Church we have an adoration Chapel. Before Holy mass is celebrated the Blessed Sacrament is covered by an opaque curtain.Holy Mass is then celebrated in the main Alter without the Blessed Sacrament being in the main Tabernacle. Is this in order? After Mass the Opaque curtain is raised and adoration in the adoration Chapel is restored.Exposition takes place even when the Church is closed for the night. Our Priests contention is that even in the night the Blessed sacrament is visible to people who pass by through a Window. Please express your views.

… when you mistake the teabags for the brown scapular (and start to wear them wondering why the scapular became heavy and wet).
Or you try to brew a fine cup of tea out of your scapular and you start to wonder why the water won’t change colour.

confused:
Hehe… thats interesting. I could say
You know you’re a traditional Catholic, when “Conservatives”, tell you that you have a “schismatic spirit”, or are “heading towards” schism. Or, indicate to you that you MUST love Thomas Aquinas, the organ and Latin in order to be a good Catholic…

Im Catholic with a charismatic slant… I guess, whatever spirituality or taste serious Catholics develops depend on what they think is most traditional in the deeper sense of the word…

You know you are a traditional (and sadly out of shape) Catholic when you are sore for 2 days from genuflecting so often during the Stations of the Cross 🙂

:rotfl:

You know you’re a Traditional Catholic when…

You kneel for Holy Communion!

You burn incense in your home while in prayer.

You’re willing to drive an hour just to go to a Traditional Mass!

When having 7 kids isn’t out of the norm.

You pray the Rosary with the intention of HMC grants us who love it a Tridentine Rite.:highprayer:

Vah! Denuone Latine loquebar? Me ineptum. Interdum modo elabitur.

Looking forward to the Easter Vigil…

You’re made because you can’t find cookie-dough incense.

…for the traditional Catholic baker in your life.

(if anyone finds any, feel free to give it to me as a Birthday gift. My birthday can be any day)

When you’re troubleshooting underground pipes in your back yard, and you stick a garden hose into the end of one suspect pipe to test it… and sing in chant, as the water victoriously pours out of the place you were hoping it would, “Vidi aquam egrediente a latere templo, alleluia, alleluia!” 😃

You know you’re a Traditional Catholic when you carry Holy Water in one pocket, at a minimum three Benedictine medals on your person, a rosary, a large crucifix with a corpus around your neck, and a Byzantine chakti prayer rope on your belt loop. 👍

Still laughing about “Dominoes Vobiscum” from, like, 15 pages ago. :rotfl:

My contribution -

… when your mother doesn’t like your husband and you say, “Mom, I could bring home St. Joseph for a husband and you wouldn’t like him!”

… when you are frustrated at work and you joke about saying a novena to the patron saint of excel files embedded in word documents … except you’re not really joking because if there actually WERE a patron saint of excel files embedded in word documents, you would be on your knees in prayer every ten minutes.

… when you are assigned to audit your local Archdiocese and you are SOOOO EXCITED!!! 😃

… when your primary clients are all Catholic hospitals / health systems and you are so proud of them all, especially when you see how much charity care they provide to the community, as well as how much they prioritize getting good equipment and building up to better serve their patients, as well as generally how they seem to see the inherent dignity in all their patients, even though they see a LOT of them, as well as the daily morning prayer, as well as the crucifix / risen Christ in all their offices … I could go on. And you also feel fortunate, humbled, and excited all at the same time to be the one to work with them.
