Someone once offered me the following definition:

When you think Heaven’s population will consist of you, the Virgin Mary, and God, and you’re not so sure about God.

when your 1961 edition of the Sunday Missal has more duct tape holding it together than does a 50 year old HVAC system in an old skyscraper!!!
when you actually notice that there is no holy water in the fonts by the door as you enter the church…some of those dried sponges have sharp edges on them!!!
when you switch lines to make sure you receive Holy Communion from the Ordained Hands of the Priest
when you genuflect on entering the pew an your knee actually touches the floor!
when you genuflect on entering the pew!!!

Calling an EMHC a “wannabe priestess” is not a good way to describe a custom deemed licit by the Church

I do all except the first one. I was born in 1969.

when you have to explain something said in a light-hearted manner in a light-hearted thread to those who are not so traditionally minded!😛

When you’re in the car and 5 minutes to your destination that nagging feeling in the back of your mind tells you that your rosary is not in your pocket.

You exclaim “Mother of God !!!” as you make a u-turn. Your wife wonders if you left your wallet or a vital organ at home; you tell her that you forgot your rosary and, she is speehless the the rest of the way there and back.

:D:D:D:D
:rotfl: When you time your car rides by how many rosaries can be said. School:1 Rosary. Work:3 decades. Church: 1 Rosary except for half of the last decade and the HHQ 😃

FYI…if you google “Father Donald Kloster Tridentine Mass” and find his four brief talks about this topic…it is so good! At least I thought it was. It is on Youtube and he talks all about the TLM. He is a great speaker…you will enjoy his talks.

When your kids know that when you say “Jesus,Mary and Joseph!!”, they are in big trouble.😃

A traditional Catholic is the only kind of Catholic to be I take care of my parish library and my orthodox beliefs have really helped me in weeding out book donations from the more liberal people in my parish including some very liberal authors

You rather read the Latin side of the Missel at Mass and answere in Latin.

You rather say the Rosary and or Devine Mercy than listen to the news on your car radio.

You would rather neel than stand or sit in the presents of the Blessed Sacrament.

your kids are having an argument that escalates to name-calling and one of them gives the ultimate blow by calling the other “you - you - you PROTESTANT!!!”
On that day, I knew our conversion was complete!

OUTSTANDING / LOVE IT:thumbsup:

You have so many Rosary’s at home you can’t decide which one to use and hold family prayer time up :shrug:deciding.

You can list your “top-five” favorite Ecumenical Councils… none of which will rhyme with “Attican Shoe”

You wear a t-shirt while you go swimming so your brown scapular doesn’t float away.

People ask you why you’re hitting yourself during the ‘Agnus Dei’.

😃

I’ll start:

The other day, I went to the movies. When I got into the theater, I started walking to the other side where there were more seats. When I got to the middle, I stopped and was one second away from genuflecting to the movie screen! I luckily caught myself and laughed as I sat down.

Any experiences you guys have?
Your story reminds me of one told by Thomas Merton. Next thing you know the guy is in a monastery (as a monk).
This is one reason why we need to familiarize our mind with virtue.

Thank God for being Trad. Catholic. What would sex be like without all that guilt?

One reply said: “When you look at the topics in the Traditional Catholicism section and wonder why there needs to be a separate section? Isn’t this just what Catholicism is? period?”

My thoughts exactly, yes this was intended to be a “fun” thread but, some took it to be a “whining post”.

You know you are a catholic when you carry a rosary in a pouch in your pocket all the time and refer to it throughout your day.🙂

Similar story to the first post. I had a friend, my chief nurse, a colonel, while stationed at Ft Wainwright, Alaska. She was coming home late one night from some college course that she was taking, was tired, preoccupied, etc. Anyway, coming through the gate, as usual, the guards saluted the colonel. Without thinking, instead of saluting back, she made the sign of the cross. That woke her up!

(I laugh out loud) my relatives refer to me as the “Evil Trad” of the family. (They laugh too.)
But my favorite is when one of my relatives (who shall remain nameless here) told me that she “Hates Latin.” I reassured her that she was not alone-“After all, the Devil hates Latin too!”
