I’ll start:

The other day, I went to the movies. When I got into the theater, I started walking to the other side where there were more seats. When I got to the middle, I stopped and was one second away from genuflecting to the movie screen! I luckily caught myself and laughed as I sat down.

Any experiences you guys have?
I just saw the first post, and here is another movie “You know you’re Catholic” moment.

Our bishop went to the first star wars movie, and there must have been a lot of Catholics in the crowd because when it got to the part where they said “May the force be with you”, many of them answered “And also with you” without thinking.😃

You keep your rosary next to the door - you feel undressed leaving home without it.

You’re driving along, feel hot and clammy, pains in your chest. Your hand clutches at your throat. At you’re chest. Your Miraculous Medal is there. You relax. Everything is O.K. But you’re still anxious… the small bottle of Holy Water is missing.

You know you’re a trad when you have to fight the urge to make the sign of the Cross after saying the Pledge of Allegiance, or when you hear a car alarm go off (thinking it’s an ambulance)
Sometimes I say Amen, and look around wondering why no one else said it 😛

You have so many Rosary’s at home you can’t decide which one to use and hold family prayer time up :shrug:deciding.
ha ha
before i started carrying one on me all the time, when i would go on a trip I always had trouble deciding which one to take with me 😛

You know you are a catholic when you carry a rosary in a pouch in your pocket all the time and refer to it throughout your day.🙂
My frieand the other day gave me a hug, and was like
‘you smell like flowers’
’ its probably just me sweet pees and violet deodorant’ (yes I’m a man, I like to smell good :P)
‘It smells like a rose petal rosary someone gave me’
‘oh thats probably my rose petal rosary’ (pulls out rosary, receives another hug :P)

When you’ve been banned from Catholic Answers Forums for defending Tradition because you got reported by a back slapping brother Jesus NO Catholic. 😦

when you try to perswade your husband that the spare room would be beter used as a chapple than a bedroom after all the kids can share untill they are 11 .
and win (the preist is coming round to bless it in spring)
you are allso fighting the local councle for the right to have the last rights said in your local hospital (they have banned the use of personal preists aswell) and in the meen time take your latin missle and holy water round the ward just in case then direct the ‘multi faith counceler’ to the right page because its beter than nothing wihlst wondering how one man can ligitamatly be registered as a vicer(methodist), rabi, teacher of islam, hindu preist and budist leeder at the same time ?

:eek::eek: What a horrible way to die… ugh that’s just evil.

Love the chapel idea:D
Before we moved in, our house belonged to the elderly Monsignor, who often said mass in the living room! A chapel would be wonderful… but alas I’m a senior in high school with parents liberally educated in the 70s:( so I have to explain a lot (like indulgences)

but back to topic…

When you say Amen like Ah-men, not Ayy-men:thumbsup:

When you know the proper way to genuflect at adoration!

And when you refuse to hold hands at the Our Father.

ha ha

Hi Folks,

I have read all the posts here today and I simply love them . It is good to know there is homor in our daily lives.

cora

When your reading this and can’t figure out whats so different about the things people are saying 😛

You skip a meeting for a professional organization to go to daily mass with your boyfriend, who just got back from a four-day business trip. (When I go alone, I go at lunch; when we go together, it’s the 5:30 since we work in different parts of town.)

Dinner and a movie is so passé. 🙂

You eagerly long to hear the wedding banns for a couple going steady for some time… 🙂

…you don’t know one person at the nearest Catholic Church to you, but know lot’s of people at TLM parishes 20 miles away.

When you get banned from Catholic Answers Forums for breaching the forum rules which everyone who signs on agrees to abide by, and which cause many of your ‘back slapping brother Jesus NO Catholics’ to also get banned, but have a massive persecution complex and presume it must be because you’re ‘defending Tradition’.

After all, being honourable, keeping to your word and abiding by the rules you agreed to when you signed on (which cover basic things like charity, like not discussing banned topics because they lead to lack of charity, and the like) doesn’t matter if you’re defending Tradition, does it?

Ask VerumAdInferos that question, he or she posted the initial comment, I just responded in the same vein.

…you can remember saving all of the white NECCO wafers to use as “hosts” when you and your friends played “Mass” in your basement…all in LATIN too!!!:)🙂

… you consider growing a beard and smoking a pipe to better fit in.
