Some irony in those that oppose Luther’s protests against the Church’s policies by protesting the Church’s policies. I guess their fight against the Magisterium is good and proper while his was bad and unjustified because… wait, why again?

I don’t think they were protesting the "churches policies ". I think they were protesting the Protestants. Lol!

They were clearly protesting the Church’s policies towards Lutherans. They were not protesting what the protestants were doing. They were protesting what the Catholic Church was doing, and doing their best to disrupt the Church.

They are protesting something approved by the Bishop. In other words they are protesting the Catholic Church. In other words, they are protestants.

Bless Them! They were standing, pardon, Kneeling to uphold almost 2000 years of the Churches teachings on the difference between the One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church and the 'c’hurches that sprang into existence from the reformation.
How many Saints died fighting to reverse the ills of Luther, Calvin, HenryVIII, et al?
Were they simply being disruptive? Were they not in Communion with Rome?
I am all for ecumenism when the goal is reunification to the One Church. To the One Body Our Lord Prayed for.
And as to the point that the local Bishop, May God Bless Him, approved this, I would remind you that many Bishops approved Arianism. But that did not make it valid.

So you are implying that the Bishop may be a heretic? What are your qualifications for making such a serious charge?

These young people were rude, they were removed for disrupting an event - as they should have been. If they wish to express their distaste they could have staged a demonstration outside on the public street.

I don’t disagree. But the very service was to celebrate Protestantism. So they should have been celebrated and allowed to carry on. Give it five hundred years and the Church will be celebrating these rosary praying Protestants.

Was it to celebrate Protestantism or was it to celebrate the advances made towards unity? I don’t trust The Church Militant’s description of the event and they are they only ones that seem to have picked the story up.

I object to using the rosary as a club to silence people. What mysteries were they meditating on while they were shouting their Hail Mary’s?

according to the article they were protesting the venue. it was “a service celebrating the Reformation.” why would any catholic celebrate the “REVOLT” in a catholic church?
“The occupation of our cathedral by Protestants to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Reformation is therefore a profanation.
ecumenicism is one thing, celebrating where there is agreement is one thing, attempting to bring everyone back to the Eucharist is one thing, however, celebrating the revolt is completely different.

they were protesting the misuse of their church and imho rightly so.

They were disrupting a religious service.
so is a protestant service a replacement for a catholic mass?

they disrupted a reformation celebration, would you allow them to celebrate their communion at your altar?

the bible admonishes us to prove all things. every man makes mistakes, the bishops are not immune.

These men prove themselves by their actions. It’s rotten fruit they are sowing.

Again, is the service celebrating the reformation or the progress made since the reformation?

so you believe we should all celebrate the breakup of the church?

would you stand by and let your church be defamed in a physical way? this is no different.

if we approve of the REVOLT why should they come back to the Eucharist?

An ecumenical service defames a parish building how?

The Bishop approved this service. The Vatican encouraged ecumenical services during the Reformation Anniversary.

Rude, childish behavior is going to bring people back to the Eucharist how?
