London, England, Jan 24, 2016 / 04:02 am (CNA/EWTN News).- Helping young Catholics engage their culture on matters of human dignity and sexuality – based on the writings of St. John Paul II – was the aim of a recent symposium held in the heart of London.
“Young people are hungry for knowledge about the true meaning of personal love and human sexuality,” said conference speaker Robert McNamara.
Over the course of the Jan 13-17 symposium, McNamara, an adjunct professor of philosophy at Steubenville University, led a series of lectures on human dignity and sexuality, based primarily on St. John Paul II’s Theology of the Body and Love and Responsibility.

This was held in St Patrick’s church in Soho. An amazing church with one of the best priests in London, Father Alexander Sherbrooke, absolutely 100% orthodox, not a whiff of liberalism about Father Alexander.

The article is not entirely correct when it says that St Patrick’s is situated in an ‘upscale’ area of London, it is on the edge of London’s red-light district. A lot of work is done from St Patricks to evangelise prostitutes and drug addicts, as well as providing shelter and food for the homeless.

St Patrick’s is one of those churches that you couldn’t praise highly enough, along with Father Alexander Sherbrooke. There could hardly be any better place to host a symposium like this.
