Sky’s the Limit Dream Life?

Married. SAH mom when kids are young. Own property in two or three cities, at least one abroad. Successful play-screenwriter, an uplifting voice of hope, faithful to the Church but reaching many outside of it as well. Financially comfortable, regular tithing and helping others. Hubby and I are award-winning ballroom dancers and teachers well into our advanced years. Speak French and Japanese fluently, establish a faith-based org that promotes arts ministries, especially in impoverished communities, regular trips to hot springs, have a close-knit group of Catholic friends with whom I take a retreat at least once a year, and Perpetual Adoration within walking distance of each home.

More Realistic Dream Life?

I find a devoted husband and father for any children that may come into being, make peace with finances, continue to develop as a writer whether academically or professionally (am at a crossroads with this at the moment), and get back into regular dance classes and running to keep myself fit.

Ridiculously Fantastic Fantasy Dream Life?

The Doctor from Doctor Who is real, the TARDIS turns up in the U.S. for a change and I get to do the whole companion bit.

My dream life used to be that I wanted to become an ER doctor. But I slowly realized that in all of my dreams, I had no life outside of work. And that conflicted with my slowly growing desire to be a wife and mother. My new dream is to finish my nursing degree, get married to a wonderful husband who can provide, work until I have children, homeschool the kids, and become a nurse practitioner somewhere along the line.

I think it’s a nice dream.

Live in the desert with no possessions. A monastic life of prayer.
LOL!

I was just going back through my old posts and stumbled across this, and I had a huge laugh. I have no idea where I was at or what I was going through to say this, but this is far from where I want to be in the future.

My dream life:

Cabin in the mountains of Colorado around Estes park with my cats maybe a couple dogs with or without a partner or spouse. Occassional trips to other National and State parks and a few trips to Europe at least.

Living on a tiny farm, were we grow enough fruits and veggies to support ourselves. We would have a cow for milk and plenty of space for the children to finally play outside. We would have enough of a house that the children could have their own space finally.

There I could properly teach my children about the world, without the constant distractions of the big cities. My husband could finally be at peace without the daily struggle of dealing with so many people around us.

We’d have my daughter’s behavior problems under control. We could go a year without a major disaster that leads us further into debt, and relying even more on others just to get by everyday.

It probably sounds cheesy, but I already nearly have my dream life. The only thing I wish is that my husband got more paid vacation time and my mother wasn’t nuts.

It doesn’t sound cheesy to me.

I have my dream husband.

All I would like is more time with him. 🤷

So I guess my dream would be that he could retire now. And we could spend our days together.

I am blessed enough to have lived my dreams! We brought up our family in Europe in the eighties and nineties. Went everywhere, saw and experienced what Europe is all about. We had plenty of money, lived in a beautiful home, and had lots of friends.
Now we’re back in the States and I am STILL in culture shock.

I want to marry my intended in our dream ceremony with the dessert themed reception. I will be funded to do my radio show and have a book deal. I don’t want to be rich just comfortable enough for us to have a nice house with enough space for us and our children.
