Well, a good movie that I thought was sad is “The Remains of the Day” .
Don’t ever put your job above personal happiness.
But this thread brings up a good point:
I don’t watch sad movies because for me, movies are an escape…entertainment, and I seldom am entertained by sadness.
I remember years ago, the press, critics, and most everyone were raving about “Terms of Endearment”.
I didn’t see it in the theaters, but everyone was talking about it, so when it came out at the video store, we rented it, to see what all the hype was about. I remember thinking (and still do think)
"I can’t believe I spent money to be this miserable, to see people treating each other so badly, and behaving so badly. It was sad. A sad commentary on a horribly flawed family.
Joe says to tell you all he votes for “Ghandi”.
Like Tom, perhaps it’s because Bambi scarred me for life.
