Mines the Virgin Mary šŸ™‚ because she never gave up on Me! iā€™ve prayed to her a lot & iā€™m doing it as i type if it wasnt for praying to mary i wouldnā€™t ever broke my porn addiction & masturbation addiction & other sinful ways šŸ™‚ Thank you mary you never gave up on me! šŸ˜ƒ i still do urges put i pray to mary & god & tell myself its bad to look at pornography šŸ˜ƒ
 
To pick an actual single favorite is far too difficult, because all of them have offered so much and in so many ways to people, I can only say those who I have found most helpful in my life;

Saint Augustine of Hippo, Saint Thomas Aquinas and Bl John Duns Scotus ā€“ All equally, for their scholarly pursuits, and in their delightful revelation of the faith to me, it has been very helpful in trying to provoke some form of understanding.

@ I need helpp: I would have to agree that it is hard to have a ā€œfavoriteā€ saint, however when I converted, one particular saint played an instrumental role in my spiritual growth and consecration to the Blessed Mother. St. Maximilian Mary Kolbe is my Patron Saint and continues to be a model of sacrifice and devotion for me to this day. I too suffered greatly from the same temptations as you, and the Blessed Mother has brought me through a lot. I thank God for leading me to the group started by St. Maximilian: The Militia Immaculata, which promotes total consecration to Our Lady. Since your favorite saint is the Blessed Mother you may find it beneficial to look into it. The website is www.consecration.com. God bless!
 
This is a hard one. I have connections to many saints, and Iā€™m trying to develop devotions and relationships with a few in particular. As my problems and issues change, the saints that take care of me change as well.

The biggest one I guess would be St. Padre Pio. I asked him in prayer to be his spiritual son, when I found out this was possible, because he is such an inspiration and has never failed to aid me. Along with him, most of my favorites are Franciscans (St. Francis of Assissi, St. Anthony, St. Maximillian Kolbe, etc.)

Also, St. Lucia (Lucy), and her such extreme devotion to her vocation is amazing to me. She is also the patron of Eye Problems, so I pray to her for my mom who has an degenerative eye disorder.

St. Maria Goretti is an awesome one for the struggle with purity, as she gave her life to defend her own virginity.

Our Lady is also a faily obvious one. I prefer Our Lady of Guadalupe, especially for pro-life prayers.

This is hard, we have such a large and amazing spiritual family.

I just completed the 19th Annotation of the Sprirtual Exercises, and it was the most life-altering, life-giving thing I have ever done!!

What a great gift the ā€œExercisesā€ are.

And just think, where the Church would be without the Jesuits?! šŸ˜‰

Agreed! Its a tough decision, but after Mary, I think possibly St. Thomas Aquinas, St. Dominic, Pope St. Pius X, Pope St. Gregory, Pope St. Pius V. Its a never ending list.
 
To have a favorite saint would be like having a favorite child. I couldnā€™t make that call.
However, as I am getting older and find myself praying to St. Anthony more and more for helping me find, not only my lost items, but my lost mind, I must say, I do appreciate him a great deal.
 
Mine is Saint Thomas the apostle. I have a St Thomas icon tattooā€™d to my inner left bicep. My name is Thomas and Iā€™m quite pessimistic. So, I can really relate to the whole doubting Thomas thing. I like it there so that I can look down at it for inspiration when Iā€™m feeling negative. He doubted Jesus and yet he stuck by his side. It really shows just how forgiven and loving God really isā€¦he even loves those who question their faith and his existence.
 
Mine would be St. Catherine of Siennaā€¦a mystic and doctrate of the Churchā€¦reading her letters is spritually upliftingā€¦

As for post-Biblical saints, I really like Saints Francesco dā€™Assisi and Teā€™r`ese de Lisieux.
