St. Spiridon Church, Corfu, Greece

We didn’t take these pictures, even though we did go to this church in Corfu. We lit candles (which we left donations for), venerated St. Spiridon’s relics, bought (yes- bought for a mandatory set price ‘donation’) oil from his lampada at the church bookstore that is directly off the altar…But heaven forbid if you attempt to take a picture without a flash from the back of the church. My husband got yelled at. Corfu was NOT a good experience, over all. Guy in the icon store was saying ‘anaxios’ when we walked in. I sincerely hope he wasn’t referring to us, but I won’t hold my breath. It IS a pretty church though.
