google conservative Catholic, and you will find that it is a common term that is used by a good part of society. The term has been in use for some time (see Conservative Catholic Party of Switz, est. 1912 A.D.). Also conservative is a common adjective- it’s meaning would be readily understood by most Catholics. Thus I find your position disingenuous.
examples of the use of the term:
Conservative Catholic" vs. “Traditional Catholic”
The distiction between “conservative” and “traditional” Catholics is that the former accept what would have been considered “Modernist” or “liberal” at the time of the Second Vatican Council while the latter believe that the Second Vatican Council (“Vatican II”) produced deliberately ambiguous documents. The former accept the Novus Ordo Missae (the Mass promulgated after Vatican II) while the latter either reject it outright as being invalid or reject it as perhaps valid but nevertheless “Protestantized,” weak in doctrine, and dangerous to the faith of Catholics who attend.
“Japan Elects Catholic Conservative”
… views a wide range of issues from a conservative Catholic perspective. …
… research from an orthodox/conservative Catholic advocacy organization …
Conservative … term applied to a number of…Roman Catholic groups or movements. …
Opus Dei (a conservative Catholic sect)
I hang out at a conservative Catholic board
But she represented the conservative Catholic faction
… Samuel Alito, a 2006 George W. Bush appointee, a conservative Catholic
Ross Douthat is also a conservative Catholic
etc.
