Haven’t read the entire thread, but I’m sure that anyone familiar with Catholic teaching is aware that a physical relationship is forbidden to **anyone **who *isn’t married *- no matter **who **they’re attracted to…

& no matter what our ‘if it feels good do it’ culture tries to indoctrinate us with.

No one who has started holding the plow should be looking back or else he would get distracted of his work. It is either you join the church and follow her standards or, leave the church. You simply have to choose: the standard of Christ or the standard of Satan. The choice cannot be both at the same time.

Homosexual intimacy (sexual) is accompanied by at least two demons: one for each participant. The act is anathema to God and if one dies in that state they will forever lose the vision of God. It can be no clearer than that.

I also have another question kind of irrelevant but not totally and it is completely out of curiosity and not meant to make trouble. In the old testament it stated that the punishment for homosexuality is death. did that mean it in the literal sense or was that if there was no repentance? Were homosexuals killed with given no chance of repentance? does that go for everything in the old testament. there are so many rules saying they end in being killed.

It is the acts which go unrepented by which a person is condemned. Not everyone is capable of overcoming their temptations completely, though they do not act on them. A man does not sin because he would like to have a sports car, he sins because he steals the car or seriously considers stealing it and makes a plan to do so if the opportuntiy arose. He may not be able to completely overcome his desire to own a sports car, but he can restrain himself. I know someone will say I’m stretching it, but whatever!

If you are a person who finds that you are attracted to persons of the same sex, this is not going to keep you out of heaven. If you are a person who engages in same sex acts, this could be mortal sin, which requires repentance, etc. The acts are grave matter, but there are conditions which must be met for mortal sin. Also, as I indicated, people can repent.

Also, it is possible to commit sins of thought, no matter which sex you are inclined to find attractive.

Living in a city with several distinct “gayborhoods” with bars, bathouses and coffee shops all flyin’ the rainbow flag, outside of the Bay Area, I am not certain there are too many more spots in America where same-sex attraction and activity is more widely accepted, celebrated and visible. And our HIV, Hepatitis and meth ampethimine addiction rates are out of control.

I was talking about my city specifically where we have well over 2000 new cases per year. In the course of a decade - should infection rates remain constant, this will end up being well over 20K new cases.

Now I am not trying to exhibit hyperbole, but my sensibilities and incilnations are such that in fact this IS out of control.

In one of the 15 largest cities in America, where the segment of the community that has been hit hardest by this is well mobilized, educated, and condoms are free at bars to take by the boxful, I am at a loss to explain how this number remains so high. (And I believe that number in fact is high relative to the community awareness, and efforts to prevent what is so preventable.)

I just tend to sympathize more and more with the gay community because of the way Christians are making them the reason for natural disasters and other “signs of the times”. I still believe abortion is a crime and I still encourage celibacy for homosexuals but I do not consider homosexual people as antichrists that are by default going to hell.

If a man looks at another man with lust that is a sin of the heart and an abomination. We can sin in our THOUGHTS , words and deeds.

In my opinion, if a man is struggling with this disorder he should seek help spiritually. If the condition is so pervasive that prayer, fasting and other petitions make no inroads, then, in MY opinion, an exorcism might be the prescription. There are demons whose assignments are to degrade man through homosexual lust. This is not very different than a demonic possession.

Maybe, just maybe, as we observe this disorder in today’s world, it seems to be growing and gaining strength in the world.

Same-sex "marriages,: adoptions; part of grade school textbook teaching; political clout and gay agendas that are like ajuggernaut.

These inroads are not merely achieved by ordinary influence…it is a corruptive reasoning…“touchy-feely” comes to mind. The incident at a San Francisco parish a few days ago should be an eyeopener for all of us. Demons are real; they are here to prod us into losing our immortal souls.

I pray the Church, in her wisdom, accelerate more priests into the Rite of Exorcism. The reverse has been true these past years.

You really recommend exorcism for anyone with just a homosexual orientation? There is no evil or demonic possession in being homosexual. The sin is only in acting on it but not even all sin necessarily means demonic possession.
