Well said.Because someone doesn’t feel the way you do about a particular subject, does not mean they are ignorant. It just means they think differently.I, for one, enjoy differing points of view. Often times we get “stuck” by only having one viewpoint. And this, I believe is the sign of true ignorance as defined by Webster: having lack of knowledge.
I haven’t yet read the book. I will someday. After all, it is merely a book. I am secure enough in my faith not to be shaken. At least then I will be able to give an intelligent viewpoint.
I remember back when “The Last Temptation Of Christ” raised a furor. I read it. It was a book. I didn’t agree with it. But at least I could talk about it intelligently and not make blanket statements about others being ignorant.
