curious as to the ending…
This man has lots of charisma and his own group of followers, months later while his wife was very pregnant the truth came out and he had to resign. the story is my DH forced this man out becuase my DD did not make the team:mad:.The good news is my DD joined another club and two weeks ago clobbered her old team:D. she actually is getting better and has some really good coaches.
I’m glad that your hubby is making good use out of this problem…But his observation that in the US “you have to be rich to play soccer” is completely wrong. There are hundreds of leagues of Mexican immigrants who play soccer competitively, and they are not rich. In fact, the inverse relationship may be more true - the kids whose parents pay a lot to coaches, may not even have the skills or temperament to play the game. If you want my opinion, I don’t think soccer should be introduced to kids until at least middle school, preferably not until high school. Little kids don’t have the ability to understand the game or the rules, they can’t play it properly, and they can get injured in the attempt, as well as being burn-out cases just when they could actually start playing the game properly. But a lot of people do make money from parents who want their kids to try and get scholarships to college through playing in travel clubs.after checking and double checking qualifications and consulting lawyers at work he went to the board and told them he had to be off the payroll and paid as a cosutant to protect the club, he also raised enough donations for this man to get his qualifications in a different state to save his embarrasment, and they litterly told my DH to F^%$ off.
My DH got his coaching certificate and is starting his own club, being from the UK himself he is shocked that America is the only country you have to be rich to play soccer. Soccer is a poor persons sport. So he is offering travel soccer with qualufied coaches at less than half the price anywhere near here.Code:This man has lots of charisma and his own group of followers, months later while his wife was very pregnant the truth came out and he had to resign. the story is my DH forced this man out becuase my DD did not make the team:mad:.The good news is my DD joined another club and two weeks ago clobbered her old team:D. she actually is getting better and has some really good coaches.
very exciting
Calling DHS is not the right answer, but niether is your response to do nothing.Well, I’m sorry if this isn’t the support your looking for, but I think your DH needs to look the other way and mind your own buisness. If the coach is an illegal immigrant, calling DHS will do nothing but create problems. It’s not a good idea to get involved in this, it’s just not.
Meh, as curious as I am, I’m not sure that any of us need the actual details. I went back and read some posts and it appears that everything is resolved and that the board has the information that it should have rightly had all along to make an informed decision.just to point out…my husband never planned on calling immigration. The club being a non profit organization could be liable. If I were to tell everything that happened I could type pages and pages, but I’m lazy and not sure it’s interesting enough to be worth reading. There were lots of lies told, cover ups and though not illegal use of money not exactly honest either.

But anyway, glad you are making use of a difficult situation.
I see you live in Texas, there might be a lot of Hispanic leagues there but there aren't here, our local club is on the cheaper side at $1,500. Per kid per year. This does not include uniforms, or gear. If a kid want to play to have fun there are plenty of great recreational leagues, if a kid wants to learn and be competitive it's travel.
Your DH, bound by integrity, outed a person who lied on his resume to get a job, and now your DH is being lied about. Forgive me if I’m not surprised.just to point out…my husband never planned on calling immigration. The club being a non profit organization could be liable.
