Oh no…(I’m chuckling)…here we go… the Clinton Coincidence.
(I’m only half laughing…that’s creepy too!)

I think the misdeeds of JFK have certainly been minutely analysed. I agree he did a power of good, along with plenty of not-so-good.At this point in history, and speaking as someone who was alive during Chappaquiddick and has read a bunch of books on the Kennedys since then, is there anyone in USA who is NOT aware at this point of all the problems the Kennedy family had with women and Chappaquiddick and everything else?
This was not exactly covered up - it would rear its head every time Ted was considered as a possible presidential candidate, which happened several times. I seem to recall once he almost got the nomination, even, in spite of Chappaquiddick.
Ted Kennedy has been dead for a long time. The younger Kennedy grandchild who seems to be a rising star in the Dem party was certainly not involved in all this. Seems like a moot point, or a historical curiosity that will appeal to those who like “Mad Men” - era films.
He was a good president but was assasainated before he could fully prove his merits.I think the misdeeds of JFK have certainly been minutely analysed. I agree he did a power of good, along with plenty of not-so-good.
I do think younger generations know little if anything about Chappaquiddick specifically. I heard an interview with the filmmakers where one of them said he knew almost nothing about it until a passing comment was made during Teddy K’s appearance at the 2008 Democratic Convention. This inspired the research and writing of the book which has now become the movie.
In reading about him and studying him school, I don’t see where he did much good - or bad - at all. He seems to have been a brilliant man, who could have accomplished much.He was a good president but was assasainated before he could fully prove his merits.
The bottom line for almost every movie that’s made - money. In itself, that’s not bad. People do have to make money, and I don’t expect people to make movies just for the fun of it. But the desire for lots and lots of money often causes people to speculate or outright distort the truth. I don’t like that. We will never know the truth about Chappaquiddick. They’re interesting in making money and trashing popular name figures like the Kennedy’s, makes money, whether the film is totally true or not.
