It won’t bother many because they also think he was Chosen by God.

Except insofar as all things are willed by God, I don’t know a single person who thinks this. Really, Democrats ought to reconsider the disdain they have for those who do not share their views.

One would have thought the “cruise conservative” clique would have come up with a candidate to primary Trump before now. They’re foolish enough to think a lot of people share their view of him; probably because they hang out with people like themselves.

I gather you don’t welcome anyone who threatens Trump, even if he is more prolife than Trump? I don’t understand this, given you mention abortion in many if not most of your posts.

I recently heard it say that all that President Trump has to say is the air is good for people, and all the liberals will hold their breath.

Yes this is a joke, no I do not want anyone to die, yes president Trump is rude, no I do not believe all liberals have TDS.

Unfortunately most of them vote party line, regardless of what their voting constituents think.

Jharek was right. It IS a cult of personality. One would think a few challengers would strengthen the party, but that doesn’t seem to be shared by many.

Ridgerunner:
But if he said the second, he wouldn’t have to say the first
Oh I’m not so sure. The hate for this President runs so deep in the left, that he could become pro abortion, anti second amendment, anti-ICE, and anti you name it, and they’d still insist on his resignation!
That’s pretty much the case around the world other than the with alt right types. He’s a dangerous, reckless, narcissistic, and incompetent to lead the USA and the world.

Incompetent? Anything but!
Perhaps not to you but to Australians who are dealing with the consequences of Trumps reckless provocations of China and North Korea there is. No US president before this character has been so mindless of regional diplomacy. Trump couldn’t care less about the antipodes. He thinks we are expendable blips on a radar. Our Prime Minister recently said in an interview that he has sleepless nights about the new China/US relationship.

I don’t keep count of posts by category, but I doubt you’re right in your assessment.

It’s not a matter of “threatening” Trump. He wasn’t my first choice in the primary or my second. But he promised beneficial things while Hillary Clinton started a war and told me I am “deplorable” and need to change my religion. So the choice was obvious.

And now he has largely produced what the Dems could not prevent him from producing. Gorsuch and Kavanaugh and a good number of other prolifers on the benches. Cutting back Planned Parenthood funding. Getting the Little Sisters off the Obama abortifacient mandate. Defeating ISIS. Starting no new wars. Stock market up 1/3. Lowest unemployment in decades. At least initiating a cleanup of the “swamp” in which unelected bureaucrats think they can run the country by criminalizing anyone who threatens their power.

And so, when Dems lower themselves to attacking him with such silliness as this or his skin color or his private life, I am put off by it. It’s not a matter of “threatening” him per se.

And furthermore, he has at least gotten a lot of prolife measures accomplished, and has not promoted abortion at all. I’m not going to throw away my vote on someone who can’t win just because Democrats want to persuade me to do it and be a fool.

As soon as he starts a war as stupid and as disastrous as the one Hillary Clinton started in Libya, I’ll wonder whether you’re right. Until then, I’ll know you’re not.

Why not? It worked for his “pro-life” stance . . .
If he’s a pro-abortionist in his heart like the Democrats, I’ll pray for his soul. But as long as he acts in a prolife way, which he does, I’ll not worry whether he’s a hypocrite or not.

Excellent post!Spot on!You have just exposed exactly why the Dems and RINO despise Trump.Their gig is up🙌

while Hillary Clinton started a war and told me I am “deplorable”
She specified that the people she was calling “deplorable” were the racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, and Islamophobic Trump supporters. So she only called you deplorable if you identify as one of those. That’s your business, I’m not asking. But the only reason to take it as aimed at you would be if you did so identify.
and need to change my religion.
Context matters (as Republicans keep saying when trying to defend Trump statements)-- her statement that “deep seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed” clearly referenced domestic violence against women, high childbirth mortality rates, and cultures that try to deny education to females.
So, again, unless you support those things, she wasn’t talking about you.

That’s not the way she put it. She said half of the Trump supporters are deplorable, xenophobic, etc. She did not condition the epithet “deplorable” on their being xenophobic, etc.

But that’s hardly the only expression of disdain the Dems have expressed toward those who don’t support them.

You know better than that. She said the following:

““Far too many women are still denied critical access to reproductive health care and safe childbirth. All the laws we’ve passed don’t count for much if they’re not enforced,” Clinton said, using the euphemism for abortion.
“Rights have to exist in practice — not just on paper,” Clinton argued. “Laws have to be backed up with resources and political will. And deep-seated cultural codes, religious beliefs and structural biases have to be changed,:”

Religious beliefs, she is saying, must change in order to accommodate “reproductive rights”. Her meaning could not have been more plain.

But as long as he acts in a prolife way, which he does,
Well, if you call his opposition to Alabama’s complete ban on abortions acting in a prolife way, then we’re not getting anywhere.
