Anyone else have a feeling that this teacher would already be fired, complete with a public apology from the school, if his comment had been, “When you put on your Allah glasses, you can’t see the truth”?
According to the article, he is not opening up debate - he is simply using his position as a Public Servant to slam Christianity to a bunch of 15-16 year olds. How brave. Let’s not forget this is a PhD teaching teenagers.
In my classroom I rarely discuss my religious views to my students. Sometimes they ask - and I’ll briefly explain my beliefs - then change the subject back to the lesson.
