It does, however, say, “You shall not bear false witness.” You may want to review that particular Commandment.

Perhaps Muze should have said something that was debated for centuries, by all, including Catholics,“All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God ,except for Mary”.Augustine may have been the first to admit this exception. That is,he cites this scripture, or one like it ,don’t remember, when speaking about Mary and her exception.Others before may have said written it (Mary sinless) but not cite scripture to the contrary or that must be exceptionalized as Augustine did.
How about , “Behold, Mary is with you always” ? Please don’t be offended,it is a question but may I say people, not CC, but people speak of Mary in terms that other people speak of the Holy Spirit, such as "she spoke to me, she led me, she carried me, lifted me, comforted me, ever present with me etc etc. What churches teach is one thing but what people do, are allowed to do,what is tolerated is another thing. So I am with you in straightening out people who wrongly say the CC teaches Mary worship. They do not but…

I think that a good portion of the issue is how the Church defines “worship” as opposed to how most protestants define the term. My understanding is that latria - worship due to God alone - is expressed through the Sacrifice of the Mass. We might speak of Mary in glowing terms, sing hymns to her, pray to her, and thank her for her help, but I’ve yet to see any evidence that suggests we offer sacrifice to her. That is reserved to God. For many protestants - especially those of a “low-church” branch - worship is the singing of hymns, prayer, etc because of the way that Luther, Calvin, Zwingli, et al deemphasized the sacrificial nature of worship.
