My guess is 10% And that is because they are forced to for some reason.
At the age of 18? Do you really think they know anything about the person they vote for? Their folks problably tell them who to vote for.
If your in this age group I would love to hear your opinion.

Not in this age group. Sorry. I’m 54. You’re right though. The young minds are the ones who will be shaping the future from now on. My generation wasn’t so hot. We got pretty much everything wrong but ending the Vietnam conflict, and I’m not even so certain about that anymore. I too would be quite interested as to what the young ones are thinking in today’s politics. It’s hard to draw a good bead on it.

I couldn’t even guess as to whether or not that practice is followed by Indians in America. I would hope not.

How long have you been away from New York, Rich? There has been quite an influx of Indian immigrants in New York City during the past few years, particularly in Queens.

What makes you say that Obama has no discernible faith? He attended a specific Church for many years. His faith may not hold the same exact moral and social principles as yours (or mine)–and neither does Romney’s faith–but Obama does consider himself Christian. What discernible faith did Reagan, for example, have? Not that church attendance is necessarily the be-all and end-all of having faith, but I recall Reagan made a ridiculous excuse as to why he didn’t go to Church, namely, it might endanger the lives of other church attendees in case there were a bomb explosion.

I get back every two months or so, and I’ve been noticing more and more Indians. All the concessions in Grand Central Terminal, e.g., are Indian-run and there are many Indian stores along Roosevelt Avenue in Jackson Heights. It seems that half the Dunkin’ Donut shops in Brooklyn are staffed by Indians as well. The extent of their immigration didn’t hit me until recently.

I will be the first to admit that Ronald Reagan had no discernible faith, nor did Bill Clinton.

I don’t know about Clinton, but if he had a discernible faith, he surely didn’t follow it! Since neither Clinton nor Reagan seems to have had a discernible faith, and I think we must admit neither of them was a bad President, then having a discernible faith may not be such an important factor for being President. Further, George W. Bush DID have a discernible faith. I rest my case…no soup for you; wait one year!
 
It must really kink the neck of the GOP loyalists when poll after poll in this forum puts Ron Paul on top of their favorite Country Clubbers.

Too bad for Ron Paul the nomination is not decided by online polls and straw polls. the question is not whether Ron Paul will get the nomination. The question is whether he will ever break into double digits in any of the primaries he runs in.

Well, from what I have seen and from discussions I have had hear and in person, Ron Paul is the ONLY…ONLY candidate on the GOP side of the house that has crossover appeal. I’ve yet to talk to an entrenched Democrat that would consider anyone else in the Republican Party. Since Obama is loosing his base and most fiscally conservative independents are shying away from Obama, crossover appeal is important, and Romney and Bachmann cause many of these voters to want to just stay home and not vote at all. The Tea Party groups around the country are just as disgusted with the Country Club Republicans as they are the Democrats. There is even talk of sending Beohner packing and challenging him in the primary. I really don’t think you appreciate just how pissed off people are. Ron Paul is the only candidate who is different from the establishment folks in the 2 major parties. He is the one who predicted the housing crash, problems with Fanny and Freddie, and all the other problems associated with the Federal Reserve and our deficit spending. The rest of them are all talk and no walk.
